Honestly disgusting treatment throughout the whole application process. Tarnishing most individuals with the same brush and absolutely zero actual customer interactions at all throughout the process. Not every individual has a desire to take out loans with the intention of not paying them back!! Some individuals like myself are using this service for genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. The last thing on my mind was consistent poor treatment while working towards a resolution to a funeral expense situation and to be treated the way I have by this company is disgraceful!! Thankfully genuine loans companies like Mr lender and lending stream exist to restore some faith in this service we all wish we didn’t have to use but instead we on occasion feel pressured to use!

Was told by email I could have a top upafter u payed this mouth which I have payed 66:/ of my loan . Then rang and they said next mouth I really don't get it. Not happy with services

Paid off my loan early and given receipt of payment.
4 weeks later the account is still open and on my credit file.
Sent confirmation of payments yet no change in account.
Really poor.
Finally resolved. But took a while.

Easy to do and very fair.

Although I have posted before with this company and I havent been impressed the refund has take over two weeks and still hasnt come in Chantelle has been quite understanding from the collections department and has actually bothered to find out what is going on and she has raised it as a complaint as well its nice to know that people will actually go out of there way still in this current climate

You bare your soul filling out the form and giving personal bank details and national insurance number. Bit they don't give you any correspondence to valid your application. They take your information then sell it on. As a third party company. Everyone that is declined by them have sold your details to the dark. I've already got spam emails but nothing from fair finance. Be careful

Quick easy reliable

I had a loan with them and paying off them got an email stating they had made an error and my loan was actually paid off they owed me money — told have to wait 2 weeks for this and no response to emails and when I called told I have to wait — this is unacceptable I need this money now you took it off me and now fob me off with excuses have made complaint and will be going to FCA just disgusted that it has to take so long when they could easily pay it out now instead of keeping me waiting just unacceptable with no empathy whatsoever

Hmm, I'm in the same boat as the previous two reviews. Had a loan with fair finance quite a while ago, all paid off no issues.

I received an email on 05/08 advising because of regulatory issues at the time of my loan, I was due to receive a compensatory refund of nearly £400 which be paid to the account on file. I am in the process of moving house so couldn't have come at a better time.

I replied to the email and contacted phone support to ensure it was legitimate. I spoke to a nice advisor who confirmed it was correct and that I'd receive it in the next few days. I verified the account was also in a credit balance.

Since then, fair finance have emailed requesting the following 'to process your refund'
- Bank statement
- Proof of ID
- Proof of address (within 3 months)

At this point its becoming suspicious, why does a company need a full bank statement and your passport to send a refund? You're the ones telling me I'm owed money, surely you know who I am already.

I will update this review once I know more, I urge others not to hand over their personal documents until the situation is fully understood.

23/09/2026: payment received without issue eventually, can't complain.

First loan was great simple and I payed it off early and was given a refund on the difference of interest I owed my account remained open and a few months later I took out another loan same as last time I payed it off early and upon doing that it also said I was due to a refund however the next day my account was closed I have emailed multiple times for a about a week no response so they are withholding my money I am in the process of contacting the financial ombudsman very disappointed

Easy to apply and responded in 24 hrs customer service helped me great easy no nonsense questions basic and straightforward emailed and informed me just great to work with very happy

I had a complaint with Fair Finance which went to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which went in my favour. Fair Finance take payments early if it’s a bank holiday or if it falls on a weekend. This is classed as a breach on a direct debit. All payments that fall on a weekend or bank holiday must be taken on the next working day. That’s how 99% of business operate except for this one. FCA should make an investigation on this business and they will find so many guidelines breached.

A very difficult company to liaise and communicate with, contradictory messages, lack of reminders, harsh almost threatening letters sent by mail with scaremongering implications ie “wage sanctions”.
Even now after clearly pointing out the problem the messages are not either being read properly and definitively not clear with communication.

I applied 18th July and haven’t heard nothing. It says online it takes 24-48 hours. Almost a week later and still nothing.

met all the requirements and still declined. I just gave them all of my information and access to my bank for morning. avoid
