Horrible experience
I enrolled in Executive Career Upgrades in August 2025 based on very specific promises made during the sales call — individualized support, executive‑level branding, and a clear, guided path to landing a new role. None of those promises were delivered.
The “resume optimization” I received was a generic template that multiple recruiters independently described as outdated and misaligned with my background. Despite the contract stating “unlimited revisions,” ECU never revised it. I had to rebuild my entire resume myself. The LinkedIn “optimization” they delivered was simply my resume copied and pasted into LinkedIn format — no strategy, no branding, no keyword alignment, and nothing resembling executive positioning.
Support was also not what was advertised. When I reached out overwhelmed and asking for help, I was sent links to videos instead of receiving actual guidance. The program claims “support whenever you are feeling stuck,” but in practice, that meant watching prerecorded content and figuring things out alone.
ECU repeatedly points to “access” as proof of service delivery, but access is not the same as receiving the services outlined in the agreement. Aside from the initial resume draft, there was almost no meaningful interaction during the first 90 days, and no proactive support at any point.
After nearly a year, I ended up without the results the program markets itself to achieve.
I am sharing this review so others can make an informed decision. The gap between what ECU promises and what it actually delivers is significant, and in my experience, the program did not provide the value or support represented during enrollment.
Edit: The following is pulled directly from the agreement provided by ECU. As it clearly states there are unlimited optimizations available. The "resume specialist" did let me know that more than a couple of revisions was unusual. I was pressured into accepting what I had already said was an unacceptable document.

Executive Career Upgrades is sorry to hear that this client feels her experience did not meet her expectations. We take client feedback seriously and wish her continued success in her career. We would, however, like to provide additional context regarding several of the statements made in this complaint.
First, our program does provide unlimited revisions to a client's professional branding materials during the development and revision process. In this case, a resume draft was provided to the client and subsequently finalized. Once a client approves and finalizes the document, that branding project is considered complete. Unlimited revisions are intended to ensure that clients are satisfied before finalizing their materials; they are not intended to provide indefinite revisions after a document has been approved and completed.
Regarding support, Executive Career Upgrades provides clients with access to training, resources, advisors, and one-on-one support designed to assist them throughout their career search. Our model requires participation from both ECU and the client. The training materials are not intended to replace personalized support; rather, they provide the foundational strategy clients use in conjunction with our team.
After reviewing this client's account, our records indicate that significant portions of the recommended training were not completed. For example, the Career Acceleration/Fundamentals training remained only partially completed despite approximately 13 months having passed since enrollment. Our records also indicate that the client had not logged into the program portal since approximately January 2026.
We also believe the timing is important context. The client enrolled in August 2025, and our records show that we did not receive a formal complaint regarding these concerns until approximately one year later, in August 2026. Had these concerns been raised with our team earlier, we would have welcomed the opportunity to address them, provide additional guidance, and help the client more fully utilize the resources and support available through the program.
We respectfully disagree with the characterization that the program simply provides clients with access to prerecorded videos and leaves them to navigate the process alone. Our clients have access to one-on-one support and career guidance, but clients must engage with the program, complete the recommended work, communicate with the team when they need assistance, and participate in the process for us to effectively support them.
We also continuously improve our services based on client outcomes and feedback. Earlier this year, we expanded our offerings to include a more hands-on, done-for-you job search solution in which our team can perform significantly more of the job-search activity on behalf of participating clients, including helping generate interview opportunities. This evolution has allowed us to provide an even higher level of support for professionals who prefer a more managed approach to their search.
We understand that career transitions can be difficult and that every client's experience and outcome will be different. While we respectfully disagree with several aspects of this complaint based on our records, we do not want to diminish the client's frustration or experience.
We sincerely wish her the best in her career and hope she finds tremendous success in her next opportunity.
