Guide was a complete no-show, missed seeing the attraction
Booked a last minute skip the line ticket to the Accademia in Florence, through Headout, after my organised tour unexpectedly fell through.
I wasn’t familiar with the practice of retrieving the ticket from a third party tour guide, but trusted the reviews.
The guide from EU Tours failed to show up. At all. I was at the meeting point - easy to find - 15 minutes prior to the agreed meeting time, and remained for 90 minutes, during which time I phoned Headout for assistance twice.
They were unable to contact the guide at all, and that was the end of it. I missed my only chance to see Michelangelo’s David.
I live on the other side of the world, and am unlikely ever to visit Florence again.
When I finally left, several people were also waiting for their overdue guide, so i suspect they were similarly disappointed.
The ticket was refunded promptly - by Headout - but that wasn't really the point.
I do not recommend this company at all.
