Customer Service wait time is worst
If you already have a problem and to reach them you have to wait one hour. Imagine, what you are going through and they will never understand. This isn't good for a professionally managed company

Great company
Reported a leak in the street. Very easy to do. They kept me informed all the way though about what was happening. Very very good service.
Water main leak in Crown Road
There was a leak showing because water was ‘flowing’ through the tarmac but when it was excavated down to the main nothing. One of the team said he heard (?) water bubbling about 5 meters further up the road and so another hole was excavated to show the holes in the water main! The problem of finding where the leak was, was because the original road surface was concrete which had been overlaid with tarmac and the water was coming up through a join in the concrete some distance from the actual leak!
The team were very, very helpful and explained what was going on and how they would sort the problem out!

i had an amazing experience with Essex and Suffolk Water.
The staff was really helpful and patient as well as efficient.
The phone service was straight forward and I was amazied at how little a wait I had to queue for.
The engineers who came were really nice and helpful and went beyond the scope of the job to help me.
It was easy and straight forward to book an appointment.
Very helpful all round
Phoned up very helpful lady. Nice helpful informative lad turned up keeping us updated throughout and understand the neighbours are all happy too.
I found a major water leak in the field…
I found a major water leak in the field when out walking dog . I reported it and was kept up to date on repair. I asked for a donation to a local charity as it saved a lot of water and money ,which Essex & Suffolk water did. Well done and thanks

Excellent customer service
From start to finish the service was exceptional. A lovely lady answered our call and was polite , friendly and very helpful . An appointment was quickly arranged and the service was once again very professional . Thank you for you quick response which resolved our issue .
Worst company I have ever dealt with
Worst company I have ever dealt with. Customer service is near on impossible to get a problem resolved quickly. The complaints procedure is shocking, you try and get a problem resolved and it takes up to 10 working days to even get a response.
I’m betting lots of the reviews on here are made up to make them look better than they actually are!
Edited- no you will not be getting my details, you have failed to resolve my issue so far. Your response to this review has been very fast, Shame your response to complaints isn’t as fast!
I hope the CCW come down hard on you.
If I could change water companies I would have done it a long time ago!!!

Very expensive company but poorly…
Very expensive company but poorly services and every month the bill is high and high I am barely at home, I am always at work how come. I think they’re ripping money from customers and because they’re water supplier in Essex we have to suffer no choice of changing company, they’re taking advantage of that, the government should review that.

I was glad that Essex and Suffolk Water rapidly installed a new stop cock outside my boundary front wall and unfortunately I have cancelled an insurance with Home Serve earlier this year after substantial payments over many years which covered water problems leading up to the front of the house so 'woe is me' but trust pilot will be a key guide over many other issues.

Immediate response to a leak being reported.
There has been a water leak for some time, which we thought was surface water running into a brook in the village. I contacted ESW explained the situation, next day (yesterday) an operative surveyed the site. They identified the problem and today the team are digging the area to repair it.
Very efficient, minimum fuss.
Quick problem resolution
Very responsive, dealt with problem immediately (it was not even their fault, downstairs neighbour closed our main tap by mistake)
Received a text out of the blue stating…
Received a text out of the blue stating that there was an investigation into reports that our water supply was discoloured. On it there was a link if we wanted further information or help. I thought it looked like a scam so ignored it. The following day, however, our water was, indeed discoloured, so I clicked on the link and reported it. The following day, two gentlemen turned up, wearing overshoe protection, overalls and masks (impressive as I'd previously been shielding) gave full explanation as to what it might be (including that the water was safe to continue to use) and did a mains flush in the street. Then came in to inspect the water in the property. Very happy with the outcome.
