The team at EPS is exactly who you…

The team at EPS is exactly who you would want to deal with when making a high value purchase. I purchased my 992 Turbo S from them and the service was better than any main dealers I’ve been to before. The level of stock and their showroom is second to none, and the level of preparation completed on the car was also miles ahead of any main dealers I’ve dealt with previously.
Paul was very efficient and kept me fully updated throughout the whole process. I will be back here again in the future for sure

Warranty….what warranty??

I bought a car from EPS as well as paying extra for a one years extended warranty which cost £249 which was described as being underwritten by Blue Chip warranty. Within one week of receipt of the car an engine alert message showed up on the dashboard, I informed EPS who advise me take to local VAT registered repair garage who reset the fault (O2 sensor) unfortunately this did not repair the fault so I informed EPS and once again took to the same garage for replacement of O2 sensor. Receipts for both incidences sent to EPS. A very long protracted claims process has ensued with no resolution. I phoned the warranty company given that I was repeatedly told by EPS for months they were engaging with the warranty company and waiting their response ….the warranty company have no record of my claim…nothing! EPS say that Blue Chip underwrite their claims but they have failed to register my car with them….the claims department at Blue Chip told me that EPS should have registered my details and warranty documentation would be despatched…I received nothing but a sales receipt with a line showing warranty payment. My question is what ‘warranty’ company are EPS alluding to in their correspondence with me. Several messages state they are waiting response from the warranty company!! Which one??? I am now in the process of reporting them under the consumer rights act 2015 and seeking legal recourse. Do NOT trust them if you buy warranty. I reported the fault soon after car purchase so I believe they should reimburse me the cost of repair. They are trying to say it was an MOT failure….it wasn’t, this happened within a week of purchase long before the MOT was due. Terrible after sales, obviously do not recommend this company for car purchase.

avoid

Buying a car from EPS Cars has been one of the most stressful, draining, and disappointing experiences of my life.
I financed a Fiat 500 and from the very beginning, it was nothing but lies and letdowns. The advert said it had a sunroof , it didn’t. I was upset, but I tried to let it go. They claimed all cars come with at least 6 months MOT mine didn’t. But what followed was worse than I ever could’ve imagined.
Just two days after buying the car, the entire speedometer and dashboard cut out. I was horrified i had only just driven it off the forecourt. Instead of taking responsibility, EPS passed it straight over to the warranty company. I thought surely they’d take the car back or fix it themselves. But no I was left dealing with it, alone, with a car I could barely use.
A couple of weeks later, I had to get the speedometer completely replaced. I was already off work because of this. I rely on my car to do my job, and this was costing me income, time, and sleep. EPS contributed a small amount towards the repair, but I still had to deal with the warranty company and cover the rest. Just a few weeks into ownership, I was already burnt out and regretting the decision.
Then I noticed holes and dents in the bonnet. They claimed it was mentioned in the original listing, but they’d already deleted it so I couldn’t even check. They promised to fix it, but after months of me messaging on WhatsApp they ignored me. No fix, no apology.
Soon after, even worse issues began. The car felt dangerous to drive like the wheels were falling off when I went around corners, and the gearbox kept slipping. It turned out there was a massive gearbox oil leak, and the oil had metal fragments in it from internal damage. They replaced the gearbox seal and changed the oil. I hoped that would be the end of it but it was only the beginning.
Shortly after all that, the car stopped turning on. Again, I contacted EPS panicked, because I was off work yet again. They asked me to send it to an address that turned out to be someone’s house, which raised major concerns. But I trusted them.
They said they rebuilt the gearbox and changed engine mounts, but the car still struggled to start and misfired constantly. They told me I’d need a new starter motor, but I simply couldn’t afford it after being off work so long. Shockingly, they gave the car back to me still broken.
On the motorway home, the car lost all power. I was stranded on the hard shoulder for 40 terrifying minutes before it eventually restarted. That was the final straw. From that point on, it refused to start most mornings.I had to buy a new starter motor myself, and was told the battery was down to just 15% health. All of this within just 9 months.
I even tried to return the car. But they kept passing me between themselves and the warranty company I had paid extra for. I was emotionally exhausted, constantly chasing them, getting nowhere.
Every time the car broke down, I had to pay up to £500 just to get it recovered back to their garage because they’re hours away from me.
They’ll probably try to reply to this review and say they “helped me a few times” but the truth is, I was left with a car that was not fit for purpose, months off work, and extreme stress. In the end, I had no choice but to sell the car just to move on from the anxiety it caused me.
This whole experience has been traumatic. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Avoid EPS Cars. Completely.
