Negligence, Deflection, and Silence — Enterprise Flexirent Has Failed at Every Level
My experience with Enterprise Flexirent has been nothing short of disgraceful. I was issued a van that turned out to be dangerously unfit for the road, a fact only discovered after multiple faults emerged, including wiring failures that affected lane assist and air conditioning systems. This wasn’t a minor oversight. It was a serious safety risk
Despite raising these issues repeatedly, I was met with delays, vague explanations, and silence. Richard Evans, who was assigned to handle the complaint, failed to provide any meaningful resolution. Ben Oliver was also made aware, but neither took proper accountability or ensured a transparent investigation
To make matters worse, Enterprise tried to shift blame onto others, despite clear evidence of internal failings. Their refusal to engage openly, even after formal communication, signed documentation, and Subject Access Requests, shows a company more concerned with image management than customer safety
If you're a business considering Enterprise for vehicle hire, think again. When things go wrong, don’t expect action, honesty, or care, just a wall of silence and finger-pointing
Lousy customer experience
Have been using Enterprise for car rentals for last 30 days. Have been loyal customer. Rented a car from them at Ft Lauderdale FL, for the first time in 4 years and what a terrible experience. They gave me lower tier car from what I had booked. I returned the car at their location after hours but they still charged me for an extra day. I called them repeatedly, sent emails, but no one wanted to address the problem. The agents are not authorized to fix, they only delay or say no. If you ask them about speaking with their supervisor, they say there are none. Nice job by the PE firm in driving down customer experience and enriching themselves!!
Don't use HOV lane
I am mostly disappointed in myself for trusting the rental agent who said there are no tolls. I was hit with a $60.10 toll traveling from Dulles to Fredericksburg. What the heck!! It's more expensive than the car rental. Justin mislead me when I asked about tolls; he should have mentioned HOV lanes. Coming from rural Maine where we don't even have a traffic light yet I was not prepared for the express lane. Justin at Dulles could have been more clear on how the highways worked; Holly said she would get me compensated (didn't happen) Kimberly, while polite, not helpful, Shelly, weirdly just hung up after giving me a new phone number to call.

Absolutely sick to my stomach with this company. The employee did not let me know or give me the option to connect my tolltag while the rental is in use. I drive extensively to take my son to school in a different city and was just charged about $1000. It is nowhere near that high on my normal billing cycles. They are not just making money off of the rental, apparently they like to rip you off for Toll tag fees as well. Had the employee simply let me know I would've easily connected my Toll tag to the car. The average consumer who does not rent cars would not know to do this. Absolutely ridiculous, would never ever rent from this company again. I'm not sure if this is a deceitful practice or just negligence of the employees informing their customers.
I did contact the company just now at the website. The response to this review was given. The lady on the phone was rude, she basically did not care and said it was too bad.
This used to be my go to, it's disappointing that the business practices are deceitful and that they don't truly care about their customers.

Bought a truck from enterprise car sales on December6th, one week in , had to get new front brakes, now a month later had to replace all 4 tires , becuase i tool it to discount tire and they shiwed me the tires are balding, sucks i had to spend more money on this truck in the first 2 months, when they said the truck was checked by their certified mechanics
Not caring for the customer
Rented a minivan from Enterprise Rent-A- Car on Nov 2nd thru the Nov 8th from Desert Blvd in El Paso, TX and I have to say that I was very displeased; the vehicle was very dirty on the outside with bug splashes on the windshield and front grill, tire rims very dirty and no cleaning under seat was done. Cigarette lighter was not working so I was not able to connect my camera, driver side visor was broken and the gas tank mini-window was hard to close once it was opened.

I needed a 12 to 15 passenger van for a corporate event Nov 9-12, 2023. Enterprise wanted to charge just over $1000.00. Hertz was $655.00 from Nov 9-13, 2023 for the same type van.
Very frustrating and incompetent…
Very frustrating and incompetent company to deal with! They erred on an invoice in various areas (wrong company account, improper charges for our account) etc., we asked for an updated invoice, and they keep sending the original one with errors. Our invoices are covered by clients and need to have the right information on them, but they have either no ability or desire to provide any customer service and fix it. This is well over many months of back-and-forth emails that take them several days to respond to!

Insurance claim through Nationwide was a nightmare.. First given a less than desirable vehicle that was filthy inside/out, check engine light on and car violently shaking during stop, Reported issue to Enterprise (NO HELP) and referred to Roadside Assistance that further instigated humiliation/aggravation as no pls e would swap out the vehicle. Multiple complaints fell on death ears with no resolve after multiple calls.. Nationwide happily terminated the service and moved me to Hertz! Staff professional, car clean, less hassle and far better accommodation!! Enterprise isn’t a Customer Service driven business and their bottom line is profit! NO ONE REACHED OUT TO HELP, RESOLVE OR OFFER ANY FORM OF ACCOMMODATION TO THIS DAY UNTIL THIS REVIEW!!!

I called enterprise woking to book an automatic car, when I arrived i was given a manual car. The car amwas small , old , filthy with out any options : no navigator no camera etc … , they promised to give me another new automatic car by the next day . When I arrived to pick the other car , it was smaller snd even old with also no options and it wasn’t clean as well , the price was really high . I really don’t recommend this company, prices is high snd cars are old either .

I would also like to disclose that I was given a refund of half so this isn't about $'s it is to help U keep your costumers safe. Air conditioning n the summer needs to be added to roadside as I stated n my Google review. All other info should be easy for U to obtain through the local Enterprise here n Glendale.

I hope the Corporate Office reads this; I booked a reservation at your South Boulevard location in Charlotte NC. The next morning I received a text message stating you were sold-out. I called the local office and spoke with a representative who stated she did have vehicles on the lot but they were already reserved for other people. I thought that was puzzling because I reserved a vehicle as well. She told me I was third in line if someone canceled. My suggestion to Corporate Enterprise will be to not overbooked customers! It is a huge inconvenience and is borderline deceiving!

Culture of Deceit
For over 20 years I have been a loyal Enterprise customer. That ended June. I reserved a van for a family trip from the NE 8th Street in Bellevue, WA. One of the Asst Mrg’s, apologized because the only van they had was one with pre-existing damage. Cracked Windshield, Front end and passenger side damages and scratches everywhere. He apologized profusely and took pictures of all the damage with his IPAD.
Returned the van and another gentleman checked me in indicated there appears to be “New” damage. The only issue I recall was when parking the van the air-dam on the front driver side scraped along the top of the high curb. My response was go ahead and send me the bill for the damage. His response as “New” damage as well as the photo’s taken before hand was an acknowledgement of the pre-existing damage when renting the vehicle.
Hey I know car repairs are expensive, I assumed with all the previous damage they would send me a prorated bill for prep and paint and I was estimating $500-700. Instead, I received a claim to my insurance company for the over $4000 to repair ALL the damage of the vehicle.
I called trying to explain the situation but when I indicated there should be pictures of the pre-existing conditions I was told they only have pictures of the returned vehicle.
Here is the kicker, my co-worker’s wife works for enterprise and when I told her what happened, she was not surprised. She told me this happens all the time. They flag anyone who does not buy the additional insurance and then they try to claim any and all repairs on renters personal insurance. I called my insurance company and told them NOT to pay anything as this claim was fraudulent. But was told, unless I had the previous pictures they could not do anything as the claim was filed. I have already switched Insurance company’s but Enterprise is coming after me for my deductible.
This practive of filing fraudulent claims is not a decision made by an unscrupulous location. It is derived from a culture from the top down. After 20 years I am expecting Enterprise to make this right. If not, I will use my position as a marketing director to create a social media campaign including my company’s contacts with Disney and the NHL to inform everyone of the deceitful culture driven by Andrew Taylor, Chrissy Taylor, Randal Narike, David Nestor and the other officers as well as the overseeing Board of Randa Duncan, Richard Bachman and the other Directors

My husband reserved a car to pick up at 9:00 Wednesday morning (7/5) to go to Denver for an appointment for his cancer treatment. When we arrived we were told that there wasn't a car available and we would be called when one would be. There were two cars out in front but we were told that they were already reserved. That makes no sense, you understand that right?
This put my husband in a very difficult situation in order to get to his appointment on time.
Why would you reserve a vehicle the day after a holiday when your office would be closed therefore you would not have the inventory to supply the people you promised to?
Yesterday and today I have reached out to speak with someone regarding this but while promised someone would get back to me, no one has.

Super manager kind and Respectful.
I made a Reservation July 5.went to pick it up. The place was packed.at the end of day no car. The only person working the counter was Aimee Pelzer, the manager. As I watched her deal with all the people, Her composure Was that of a Champion. She took care of everyone even though some were Whining. If the world had more people like her in the work force it would be a better place. She treated everyone with a smile and a thank you. Enterprise should be proud to have her as a manager and take pride in her as much as she takes pride in her job. People like her is what make me coming back to enterprise.

Scheduled a pick up with my rental
Scheduled a pick up with my rental, your phone system malfunctioned and took me 4 hours to finally get in touch with someone. Then it was another 30 minutes for the area manager to reach out. By this time my father in law had already made it to pick me up and start our way to the branch. Once at the branch I was told my debit card wasn't sufficient for the rental, I had to bring in a bill with my name on it. (Mind you I was about to give them $1500 in rental fees and deposit).
At this point I'm beyond livid that no one in the company that knew I was paying with a debit told me this. So I stated "Well this is BS, I'm 5 hours behind Schedule because your company's issues,n ow I have to leave and come back what BS."
Turned to leave without my DL she say "here's your license." Then as I'm exiting she yells "AND DON'T COME BACK." so I retorted to her with "Get Ducked." AND left. Proceeded to get a bill from the house changed my reservation site and found she says I cussed her out. Never cussed her stated "This is BS" but never cussed her until she acted like a child that her company messed up and made me mad.

It was around 1:30 pm local time Garden city, not airport location. The young man in question had an unusual name which I did not write down.
