5 star - excellent service from start to finish. Sold and bought from Edwards. Steered through sometimes difficult demands of buyers and managed negotiations very diplomatic. Returned all phone calls and emails promptly.

I have nothing but praise for the way Edwards & Co took on the sale of my house. Another estate agent had lost a sale for us after 12 weeks of incompetence. Edwards took over - took superb photos - launched the house and had an open day after 1 week. There were 5 offers and it was sold within 2 weeks of Edwards promoting it. They are now efficiently taking it through the exchange/completion process. A very personal service.

Have been really pleased with the service provided by Edwards & Co when I sold my property recently. From walking in through the door to make an initial enquiry to the final handover of the keys, I found all the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They kept me informed about the viewings and outcomes and Simon was great at helping me through the negotiation bit. I would certainly use Edwards& Co again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Highly recommended - they managed to sell my property for exactly the amount that I had paid for it six years previously, which is almost unheard-of in currently prevailing economic conditions. Edwards produced a really attractive brochure depicting and describing the house, and handled the sale with admirable care and professionalism. Recommended with the greatest confidence!

Everyone at Edwards was amazing when we …
Everyone at Edwards was amazing when we had to sell our parents' home last year, from the beginning they just did everything that needed doing & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
It was a difficult time for us but all the staff at Edwards made the sale of the bungalow so smooth, selling it within days of taking the property onto their books, it helped tremendously.
Much kudos to them!!

A truly terrible experience
A truly terrible experience, under valued my property and messed me around. I moved to Jeffrey Ross and got 3k more and sold in 8 weeks. When I complained about the service with Edwards I got a snotty note from the director.
My advice, avoid at all costs.
Another factually incorrect response from Edwards, no surprise there....

I am sorry that you felt that your experience with us was not what you expected and I am also sorry that you felt it necessary to voice your concerns on Trust Pilot (as is your right) and that you chose not to follow our in house complaints procedure at the time.
In answer to your review I have now spoken to all of my team who were upset and disappointed – but not surprised with your review of our company.
To answer your points raised.
1. Valuation – In August 2016 Simon valued your property and a mutual agreement was reached to market your property at £140,000.00. I have checked your property in the Rightmove archive and I notice that Jeffrey Ross marketed your property at £139,950.00 so I am at a loss to understand your comment.
2. Messed you around – during your contractual period with us we agreed the first sale of your property, this sale fell through as your buyer was not happy with the poor upkeep of the communal areas and lack of clarification of the ground rent charges and lease terms (and upon advice from her solicitor withdrew from the sale) – this is something out of our control and as much as we tried the purchaser did not want to proceed.
We re-marketed it again and found you another buyer within 3 weeks. Your second buyer pulled out following the survey of your property and could not afford the cost of re-wire without re-negotiation on the price.
3. £3k more – I am pleased that you accepted an offer of £3,000 above what you accepted with Edwards & Co. As per our legal responsibility to you during the sale of your property we put forward all offers received and it is your decision to accept or decline. We actually received 3 offers on your property and after further negotiation with both parties you did accept two of these offers.
4. As we have nothing to hide I have copied Simons ‘snotty’ e-mail below.
‘Sarah, thank you for your email and although I can appreciate your comments and frustrations, we cannot determine from the outset whether or not someone will ultimately still decide to purchase after all surveys and investigations have been completed. However, it is obviously in all of our interests to try and ensure that the maximum of transactions do complete as soon as possible. We have one of the best reputations and success rates in our industry, but I also appreciate that other agents are available and it is the prerogative of the vendor as to who they choose. We are of course more than happy to continue with the marketing of your property but please let me know as soon as you are able if you wish for me to withdraw your property from sale.
Hopefully speak soon.’
We pride ourselves on not being ‘a typical estate agent’ and have worked extremely hard to build up our reputation and for this reason we have teamed up with Trust Pilot and we remain the only High Street Agent in Cardiff to do so. We strive to offer the best customer service to our clients but ultimately as your review shows, as much as we try we can-not please all of our clients all of the time, it also shows that we do not hand pick our clients when requesting reviews..
You came to us through a recommendation and that client continues to sell his properties with us today.

House sale in Rhiwbina
House was sold immediately to someone already on Edwards and Co books. For that reason I had relatively few contacts with them but on those occasions they were polite and efficient. Calls were always answered promptly and returned within 24 hours if an answer to my question was not immediately available.
