Paid for a VPS and never received it

Paid for a VPS and never received it

I purchased a VPS from Echelon VPS and completed the payment, but the VPS was never delivered or provisioned. I paid for a service that I did not receive.

I expected the server to be provisioned after payment, but instead I was left without the VPS I purchased. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this provider.

If you are considering purchasing a VPS from Echelon VPS, I strongly recommend being very cautious and researching the company thoroughly before sending any money.

I will update this review if the company resolves the issue, delivers the service, or provides a full refund.

EchelonVPS.com are fake merchants

EchelonVPS.com are fake merchants. I ordered on 2026-09-11 a "Work" 6 vCPU + added 2 vCPU for a total amount of €104.40 for a 6 month-term. I have paid in LTC to the indicated address, of course the transaction completed on-chain but the website page keeps displaying "awaiting payment". No service was delivered, no email was received, the "account" page displays the name I indicated as buyer and a list of 4 bogus past orders, a bogus support ticket and so on. I searched vps providers via ChatGPT and got this one straightforwardly recommended, I trusted the source and got abused this way. I would never have found this 2-weeks old scam website otherwise.

Paid in USDT, VPS never delivered, and I could see someone else’s servers

I ordered a Nano VPS in Lisbon from EchelonVPS and paid the exact amount requested by their checkout: 26.49 USDT via TRON/TRC20.

The blockchain transaction was successfully confirmed, but EchelonVPS continued to show the order as “awaiting payment” and the VPS was never provisioned.

The most concerning part was what happened when I opened their customer dashboard. Under the email address I had just used for the order, I could see four pre-existing servers, four previous paid invoices and an existing support ticket that were not mine.

I had never created those servers, made those payments or opened that ticket. I also never received the email verification code during registration.

After this happened, I found other public reports describing a very similar experience with this company.
I have screenshots of the order, dashboard and unrelated account data, as well as the confirmed blockchain transaction.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against sending cryptocurrency to this service unless they first resolve these issues and explain why unrelated customer data is visible in newly accessed accounts.

At the time of writing, I have neither received the VPS nor a refund.

Paid VPS not delivered – several technical red flags

I ordered a VPS from EchelonVPS and paid the requested amount in Bitcoin.

Order reference: EV-KWTK-WM8P
Amount: €14.40
Term: 6 months
Bitcoin amount: 0.00021269 BTC
Payment date: 7 September 2026

The Bitcoin payment was confirmed on-chain. The checkout stated that the VPS would be provisioned after the first network confirmation, but the VPS was not provisioned and I did not receive server credentials.

While trying to understand what was going on, I checked the technical setup of the domain.

The domain echelonvps.com was only created on 28 August 2026, shortly before my order. The registrar is Tucows and the WHOIS data lists FlokiNET Services Ltd as the reseller.

The domain uses Cloudflare nameservers, and DNSSEC was shown as unsigned.

I also checked the domain's mail configuration. A DNS lookup for the MX record returned no mail exchanger, while the site advertises support contact addresses using the @echelonvps.com domain. The only TXT record I observed was a Google site-verification token.

So, more precisely: I could not verify a published MX record for echelonvps.com. That does not prove that no email forwarding or external mail handling exists, but it is unusual for a provider advertising support email addresses.

The website itself is behind Cloudflare and returned HTTP security headers and a redirect to /en.

Certificate-transparency checks only revealed the wildcard certificate and the root domain. Common subdomains such as support, admin, dashboard, payment, payments, checkout, app, dev, staging, monitor, grafana, database, origin, backend and others did not resolve in my DNS checks.

I also observed a potentially concerning issue in the support dashboard: after logging in, I could see ticket content unrelated to my own current request. I cannot confirm whether those were genuine customer tickets or demonstration/sample content, but the interface did not make this clear. For that reason, I would not submit passwords, private keys, API tokens or other sensitive information through that support interface until EchelonVPS clarifies how ticket privacy works.

I preserved screenshots of the order, payment request, blockchain confirmation, support dashboard and a local copy of the public website.

I have also reported the matter to the domain registrar, Tucows, for review.

My experience so far is:

payment was completed,
the Bitcoin transaction was confirmed,
the promised VPS was not delivered,
no server credentials were received,
I could not verify a normal published MX configuration for the advertised support domain,
and the support interface raised privacy concerns.

I am not claiming to know the operator’s intent. I am reporting the technical facts and my own experience.

I will update this review if EchelonVPS provisions the VPS or refunds the payment.
