I ordered the Melinda dress for the tea ceremony at my upcoming wedding, and it’s beautiful! The details are stunning and the dress fits perfectly. They also sent very cute goodies in the mail. My mom liked my dress a lot too, so much so that she’s ordering a dress here for my wedding as well.

I bought a custom-sized qi pao for myself and couldn't recommend EMD enough! The staff is very responsive over email and their website's chat. My qi pao fit perfectly with the measurements I gave them, no alterations needed. I also ordered their sample dress kit before buying, which was great for deciding which design was best for me. They also threw in an additional sample for free for me because my original picks weren't available at the time I ordered.

My future husband ordered one of their standard sized jacket and is very happy with what he got. The staff was also very helpful in helping us get the right size. However, my fiance is a tall, slim white male and their largest standard size fits him, though the sleeves are a little short. He is a US size large, but he had to order a 4XL. I feel like it might be hard for some men to find the right size of jacket with EMD because the sizing runs pretty small-probably great for Asian men. However, they do have custom sizing options for some of their jackets as well.

Overall we are super happy with our purchases, and can't wait to wear our outfits on our wedding day!

My wife and I cannot recommend East Meets Dress highly enough
1) the planning and discussion of what we wanted was responsive and flexible to our needs and requests with multiple alterations from standard designs accommodated and advised not to go ahead with others, with explanations
2) the dresses and jackets when they arrived were great. The quality is very high, and the fit was outstanding for something ordered and measured for online
3) the construction of the dresses and shirts made the minor alterations we had completed on delivery easy (the seems were in the right places, with small amounts of spare fabric to facilitate alterations). For the avoidance of doubt, these alterations were not "required", the outfits fit very well, but we're minor adjustments once we had tried them on
4) turn around time was clearly communicated and well within what we needed
5) post sale and post delivery care has been responsive with detailed and timely responses to questions

I ordered the Melinda dress from East Meets Dress and it was amazing! I was skeptical about ordering it because I’m a petite woman who often has trouble finding clothes that work for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It fit perfectly, it was gorgeous, and it was delivered timely. Their communication was superb! Their responses were prompt, detailed, and very helpful! I highly recommend them!

East Meets Dress offers professional, timely service for beautiful custom-made qipaos. When I was searching for a qipao for my Chinese wedding I had two priorities: 1. I wanted a qipao that was elegant with modern touches. 2. I wanted a company that I could trust to make my dress dreams a reality. East Meets Dress met both of these aims and more, with amazing customer service to ensure that I was getting the right fit for my body shape and products that shined. When my dress arrived, it was better than I had expected and fit like a glove. I cannot wait to wear it to my ceremony and am so glad that I came across East Meets Dress!

I ordered a couple of things for my wedding. The main dress is what I would be wearing for my wedding so it is very important. I took pierces of many dresses to create it which was very nerve-racking for me so I can only imagine what they had to put up with. It is hard to design a dress with a local bridal shop but to have it's designed by a faraway shop was intense. EastMeetDress was so sympathetic to me and understand my crazy request. I just received my dress and it is AMAZING. They went into my head and created exactly the dress that looks stunning for my body shape. Thank you so much. I initially picked East Meets Dress because I was looking for an Asian fusion dress that fit my up bringing. Being half Chinese, it didn't seem appropriate for us to do a fully traditional Chinese wedding with all the various ceremonies. You take all the ceremonies away and I only needed one dress. I still wanted something Chinese style but made for a western style ceremony. East Meets Dress was the only trustworthy looking place I found that made these kinds of dresses. I ordered it very early because I was a little skeptical about ordering a custom dress online.

I ordered the dress back in April and just received it last week. The dress is absolutely stunning! They made it so easy to work with them. They double checked my measurements and made sure that my customizations were exactly the way I wanted. In the end, the dress is absolutely beautiful and it fits very well. I will obviously need to bring it into my tailor for a couple of minor adjustments. It's impossible for a custom mail order dress to fit perfectly on the first try, but it fits in all the important places and I am very impressed with the precision and quality. I am even more impressed with the price point. The prices are incredibly reasonable for this level of quality.

I ordered it so early that I still have 6 months till my wedding day so I just need to make sure I don't gain too much weight!

We ordered East Meets Dress customized chopsticks as wedding favors and we absolutely love them! The entire process was a breeze and Shengxiao, our Customer Stylist, was prompt in response and so accommodating to our vision. From start to finish, the process took less than 2 weeks. When we received the order, a few pieces were missing and when we contacted the team about it, Vivian responded right away and made sure that we were able to get everything we needed ASAP. We loved the thoughtful extras (sweets and stickers) they put in our order too. These chopsticks are great quality and a unique idea that honors our culture and love for food... So glad we found East Meets Dress!

I needed a dress for my civil wedding ceremony. I wanted a dress that was colorful and elegant, as well as a being a nod to my fiance's heritage. I found East Meets Dress and got excited. I had a few questions before I purchased and I got quick response!

I ordered the Red Marilyn Dress and the dress arrived EARLY and fit perfectly. It looks exactly like the picture, especially the beautiful wine color. The PDF for measurements was extremely helpful and the tailor was impressed that there were pictures for each measurement needed. Overall great experience. I wish I had another event so I can get another custom dress made!

The perfect dress- working with Jenn to make my cheongsam was a great experience all around, she was very accommodating and the dress was beautiful.

Culture meets styles indeed! I already got married in NYC but needed a cheongsam for my Chinese reception later this year. I went the unconventional route and got the Anna dress which is this beautiful sapphire blue velvet dress with detailed embroidery and beadings. It arrived timely and was a bit large so I took it in with a local tailor after consulting EMD's customer service. I then proceed to order a matching jacket for my husband and he loved it too! The sizing can be tricky when you purchase clothing online but the EMD team is very responsive to my questions and concerns!

Another friend of mine ordered from them for her tea ceremony before her western ceremony. I wished I found East Meets Dress early then I could have done a second dress for my NYC wedding!
