I had to have our 15 year old Westie…

I had to have our 15 year old Westie put to sleep due to health issues and wanted a casket and ashes back to place in our garden.
3 weeks later nothing from Easipetcare Kettering so I rang them and they told me there was confusion about the cremation I paid for casket etc but ticked communal cremation instead of contacting me the just carried out communal cremation and scattered her ashes in there remembrance garden so we have nothing back .
My Family are heart broken and we are not happy

Lord Brinklow here. Just wanted to say how great Harlie is on reception. Always interacts well and very chatty and friendly. Shows genuine interest in Harry my Bulldog. A credit to the company.

Excellent Customer Service, Excellent Vets, Efficient & Caring

I have seen a a lot of different vets this year, Max,Diego,Bryan and a lot of the Nurses. My Cat has had an overactive thyroid and has cost to date @£700 but I am insured and on the 365 Pet Plan. I would not have a pet if I wasn't able to afford to look after him, but my Cat Mr Grey is pushing it a bit now!
I find the Receptionists, Nurses & Vets are efficient, friendly, caring, obvious animal lovers
and very approachable everyone always answer any questions I have ( and I usually have lots!). When I first took my cat to see them this year I thought he was going to die and was openly upset and everyone was lovely to me as tears rolled down my face. I have been at this practice since they opened in Kettering and would not change practices ( even if others may be cheaper). I had another cat as well a few years back Ms Bella May Grey and she died unexpectedly and I rang them crying and took her down to the Vets and they came to the car to fetch her as I was so upset. They were so compassionate and kind. Being kind is so important. I think loyalty may be considered by some as old fashioned these days and also affordability and loyalty are crushing opponents in these trying times. Whilst these lovely people are treating my pets with such kindness they have my loyalty. Thank you.

The vets are very bad here wrong…

The vets are very bad here wrong diagnosis on my dogs and very expensive I have since moved vets as these are the most expensive in the area

Vets have bad attitude and can't do alot on the premises they end up referring you to other places not a good place to go do not trust the vets and only think of the money not about the animals avoid these at all costs

Would not recommend at all spend over…

Would not recommend at all spend over £4000 for a operation on my dog (which I don't care about the money I wanted him better) they didn't bother to phone me when he was ready to be collected they did the worse job, my chocolate Labrador came out and was only half stitched they said this was ok. He then ended up with an infection. They then put one staple in to secure the massive opening wound. We were not even aloud to say bye to our pet either as he was dragged away! We also now know from all the documentation I have requested that the man who did my dogs operation has now opened his own vets in Corby. The whole thing was just a nightmare. They also messed us around for medication and saying my dog was not on the system after spending so much money they can't find him! My pets cancer then returned and we were told by the specialist that the person who did this operation has not done it correctly and didn't do a big enough section! The sample from the man who did this operation was taken and we got the all clear but due to them doing this incorrectly as he took them from a area to shall to confirm this. 9 months later at the age of 8 we sadly had to have are dog put to sleep due to his wound weeping to the point we had to change his bandage 3 time a day! We changed to a different vet not in the area who were so much better! AVOID!!!

VERY POOR MEDICATION CHARGING

Vets at Kettering very good with our animals however the charges for medication on flea treatment has sky rocketed and to find out I have been charged £350.00 more in practice than I could have purchased for online with a prescription and then to be told I had the option of a prescription so tough luck we don't offer refunds .
I have been with this practice a number of years and trusted them but feel completely ripped off with these medication charges. Low cost vets ...yes until you need medication or you have not subscribed to a plan so again the flee treatments are 2 to 3 times what others are charging. Thanks a lot I have learn't my lesson.

it is all about money and not whats best for the animals here

i have had many problems with this vet with loosing animals because they refused to give anti biotic injection to just being rude to me, i was just starting to look round for a new vet anyway after the latest problem with them which was they quoted £340 pounds for a procedure my dog needed, when i dropped her of i said if there is any other problems please call me to discuss it before going a head. they called me two hours later all went well and you can fetch her in 2 hours but she had a problem so you now owe us £1641 pounds i was speechless. i told them i wasn't happy as that wasn't what was quoted and if it was going to be more they should of ask my permission before going a head. they said a manager would call me to talk about it and maybe do a payment plan. 2 weeks later no call i asked again what's happening with this manager calling me, i was told she was very busy and that she would call me soon. over a month later no call, i have had to take the dog back 3 times for infection, the wound not closing this they have charged me on top of the £1641 for . today i received a letter saying they no longer wished to treat my animals and i have two weeks notice to leave there practice. the dog is still not better, they has been navy blue cotton hanging from the wound yet meant to be dissolvable stiches. i think this practice is very unprofessional and shouldn't be in business if it doesn't no have to conduct it self and any post op problems are meant to be covered by the operation price, it is defiantly all about money and not the animals here

Disgusting vet



This is the email I sent them and explains what happened.

Our cat died this morning and I hold the vet we saw yesterday responsible. We brought her in as an emergency on Saturday morning because she couldn't breath properly. Vet didn't know what the problem was and was not prepared to do any blood tests, x-rays or pain relief because it was nearly closing time. He said bring her back Monday.

His excuse was he didn't want to do a blood test in case she got more stressed, absolute ********, she died a few hours later anyway. We knew by the pain she was in she wouldn't last until Monday.

Now we have to live with the guilt of knowing she died in pain because of his disgraceful treatment.

Back in 2022 we were seen by this vet when Tash was losing weight and on that occasion, we made a complaint because of his lazy uncaring attitude. We said if we was to continue using Easipetcare, we request that we see a different vet at your premises, but it was ignored and every time we came back, we was always seen by him.

Can you please pass this on to the manager and let them know I wish to have a meeting with them and I will be making a formal complaint to the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons and possibly legal action.

Thankyou

Would like to pass on heartfelt thanks for the care you gave my boy Charlie on his final day. It’s been a heartbreaking time for the family but the thoughtful card and paw prints meant so much . I know he wasn’t the easiest and I apologise for the trouble he gave 😒but he was very much loved . He arrived back home today which definitely brought a tear to my eye but I can’t Thankyou enough .

Filthy- rude- incompetent

Where do I even begin with this place…. Do I begin with consultation for my cat that they insisted took place in the car? The ever-amounting vets bills when nothing is wrong with him? The unnecessary tests? The appalling attitude of the receptionists, who make you feel like a piece of muck on their shoe?

I had three separate phone calls with this joke of a place regarding vaccinations for my puppy. They gave me conflicting advice on each call and proceeded to book him in anyway, only for me to arrive all the way from Bedford for them to turn me away at my time of appointment. Couldn’t get past the receptionist, who is probably the most condescending person I’ve ever met, who refused to let me speak to a vet. But don’t worry, they gave my puppy a complimentary treat for his troubles, that he couldn’t eat, given that he is the size of a chicken nugget and this treat was clearly for a large, adult dog.

I have deregistered all my pets from this place, which is probably for the best as it is so filthy, even I get the poops when I leave. Although this will come as no shock to the odious receptionist who repeatedly told me “well you can always take your pets somewhere else” and slated advice given by another local vet.

Avoid this place, unless you enjoy being ripped off, belittled and leaving with blood or faeces on your shoes.

Rude and money grabbing with no concern for my pets weelbeing

Upon arriving for my dogs appointment the three reception staff sat nattering away for around 6 minutes before even acknowledging me wich I found very rude and unprofesional.
Once we were seen we were charged £170 for a 2 minute consultation and 2 injections 1 being an anti biotic and the other an anti inflammatory, they also said there is another £160 to pay for some pills but when I Informed them I was unable to pay the full £230 there and then they took the medicine back and would not allow me to take it to treat my dog and pay in a few days time.

They showed no care for my pet and I left feeling they only care about the money they can take from you

Dont use them…

Second visit with my boy after being told he possibly had prostate cancer and tumour on brain or hyperplasia first time a course of pain relief costing me 53 pounds for tablets first time... and to be aware if things didn't improve it would be time to end his life .. second visit today to be told prostate normal size but steriods needed to reduce prostate ( contradiction) and tumour on head come back in two weeks 68 pounds for steriods explained to receptionist I was left confused by 2 different opinions and she suggested I wait unless he gets worse and ask 1 vet he saw to check and explain which would also cost me another 55 for consultation. She agreed 2 different vets at that practice had given two different diagnosis
Left confused concerned I was given the name of another vet over an hour away who saw me same day charged 55 for emergency consultation who also told me my boy doesn't have suspected prostate cancer no tumour but does have hyperplasia but is healthy and most definitely doesn't need to have his life ended , I am beyond words that I could of made a choice based on wrong information and the 2 visits cost me just short of 300 for wrong diagnosis, shame on you all my boy is home healthy happy and just a bit wonky but he is very much alive and has years left thanks to a vet who put animals before money

Kitten packs were purchased in July and…

Kitten packs were purchased in July and a deposit made. However, at checkout the prices had increased and they expected an additional £40. When you put a deposit down for a care package, the price should be held, and not incurring the new additional cost at checkout. You don't put a deposit down for a car, and turn up to collect to be charged more. There was no contact made to let us know of the increase. Our original price was honoured after a reluctant phone call to a superior.

No info on how to change the microchip or what website to even log on to. Conflicting information from the receptionist and the two vet nurses on the desk, with less than desirable attitudes. Have moved all my pets to another vets due to incompetence.

what an absolute con of a company you are. today is the second time i have booked animals in with you and at check out you increase your price. i have paid deposit, agreed a price and been in contact to at no point have you mentioned a price increase. this is disgusting behaviour and tonight it is like being held to ransom

Most expensive Vets in Area

I had a very old Shih Tzu for which I needed some pain relief - the vet showed no compassion or friendliness towards the dog, so when he went to grab an almost blind dog, she snapped so insisted on putting a muzzle on a nose less dog, so tight it was almost in her eyes. Therefore when I had to put her down I did not want this same attitude to my pet, so shopped around to find Easipet cost of £188 was almost £100 more than others in the area. The cost of prescriptions is also more expensive, so Easipet is one of the most expensive not the cheapest as their claim.

easipetcare brilliant service

easipetcare were so kind, helpful , empathetic and professional in the way they looked after my dog Poppy when she was very poorly. She was taken care of by an exceptional vet name Slole who helped both Poppy and myself through a very worrying time. A big thank you Stole and to all the staff, they are all AMAZING.

Been charged £192.96 for a consultation…

Been charged £192.96 for a consultation and tablets for a dog. Upon searching the net when I returned home the two tablets I could of purchased for £20.60 but was charged 400% more at £105.30. When I called immediately after to complain there was no one available ALL MONTH as the practise manager is away. Told to email and they would get head office to immediately call to explain. Nothing heard yet, now thats a surprise. HOW CAN YOU ADVERTISE LOW COST this is very misleading advertising, when a five minute consulation is £41.66 (£500 per hour) and you have a 400% mark up on the drugs you sell. Looking at many other reviews seems Im not the only one who thinks this is a rip off. I will update once Head Office calls
