When being certain is everything....What a joke!
The report that Dye & Durham produced for a land search significantly misrepresented a major development of 51 homes which it incorrectly identified as being located 324m to the southeast, within the housing estate. In reality, the development is only 70m to the north, on green belt land adjacent to my property - a critical detail that should have been identified clearly in the report. I have already complained to Dye & Durham and their response just referenced section "2.02 Planning Data Limitations" which states that "the data may not always be complete or accurate" is a complete joke. Given the nature of this service, where buyers and solicitors rely on their information for significant legal and financial decisions, this level of inaccuracy is totally unacceptable. The tagline on their correspondence reads, "When being certain is everything" - a promise that they failed to uphold. Next step, this is off to The Property Ombudsman.
