We used Drive Away to lease a Citroen vehicle in Europe in Nov 2019. This company is excellent in their customer service, responsiveness and correspondence. The vehicle was as described and all the documentation provided was spot on. Highly recommended!!!

Very Friendly Service
Tom the sales rep at DriveAway was incredibly helpful he reassured myself and my partner from beginning to end. Tom communicated with us through everything and now I have a lovely car that I am very happy with. We hired a car from Fiumicino airport…
We hired a car from Fiumicino airport in Rome for a week to drive down to the South of Italy. Giordano at the Avis desk was fantastic and made sure we had the needed snow chains etc. The car was great and only had 6000km's on the clock. The rate from Driveaway was far cheaper than anywhere else I checked.
The car return was easy and quick and the guys there gave me a better petrol rate than at the service stations on the autostrada.

DriveAway's Incorrect Voucher Information
We booked a car with insurance through DriveAway and fully prepaid our car rental prior to our UK trip.
The car was to be returned to London by 9.00 am on a Monday. We referred to the DriveAway voucher which informed us that the returns office would be open until 5.00 pm Sunday afternoon.This was a less stressful option for us. My husband and I were travelling with our 80 & 87 year old mothers.
We left Liverpool for the 4 hour drive to London, cancelling a pre planned lunch with friends in Manchester, so as to arrive in London before closing time.
We dropped our Mothers with all the luggage at our Hotel in Hyde Park then navigated to Russell Square to return the car.
We arrived at 3.30 pm. Well before the closing time as indicated on the DriveAway document.
It was CLOSED.
DriveWay's document was incorrect.
DriveAway had not updated their document.
I have spoken with the DriveAway's customer service about this issue and am dissatisfied with DriveAway's response.

Dear Miriam
Yes, I did contact Driveaway's customer service and received an email a number of weeks later. Within the email there was no direct apology, no admittance of any wrongdoing nor empathy for the situation caused by Driveaway issuing an out of date voucher.
There was however an offer for $30 with no explanation to what this represents. I have not accessed this compensation as it is disrespectful to the trauma caused.

I find the website very easy to navigate.
I find the website very easy to navigate and the consultants very knowledgeable. Have dealt with Drive Away Holidays a number of times and have never had any trouble. The rental prices are competitive and there is always a good choice of vehicles to choose from.

DriveAway provided not only the cheapest rate available but their reservations team were so friendly and helpful to liaise with. The booking process from start to finish was so easy, when collecting our vehicle we didn't have to worry about reducing our excess as DriveAway had included that in our rate. Upon returning the vehicle as we had no excess we didn't have to wait for anyone to approve or inspect we just handed the keys back and checked in for our onward flight. I honestly can't recommend DriveAway enough and will be telling all my family and friends to book with them.

Excellent car hire company with exemplary customer service
We were incredibly lucky that National Travel booked our Italy car hire through DriveAway in September.
Good value, friendly, helpful assistance and exemplary customer service - especially when problems arose in Italy with Avis (which is a horror story - DO NOT USE AVIS ITALY!!) Despite our attempts to get assistance from Avis (via email = no response YET, via telephone = leave a message, no response YET) DriveAway came to the rescue and looked after us promptly and professionally. Their follow-up has been excellent. Thank you Vanessa Raine, Josie Alexander and the team. Much appreciated, and enormously relieved. We couldn't have managed without your assistance and support.
