Dr Julian is a UK-based mental health service providing fast, flexible access to qualified and regulated clinicians for therapy, psychological support and ADHD services. We exist to remove the barriers that stop people getting help, whether that is long waiting lists, limited appointment times or difficulty finding the right clinician. People use Dr Julian to access therapy without long waits, choose their clinician and appointment time, attend sessions online, and get support that fits around real life. Our network includes fully accredited clinicians delivering a wide range of therapies including CBT, counselling and EMDR, alongside specialist support for adults, children and neurodivergent individuals. We also provide ADHD pre-screen consultations, clinically-led diagnostic assessments where appropriate, and structured follow-on support and therapy. All clinicians are fully vetted, supervised and professionally registered. We are CQC registered and operate to NHS-grade standards for clinical governance and data protection. People can access Dr Julian through private self-referral, employer or insurer-funded care, or NHS pathways. There are no subscriptions or ongoing commitments. Private patients only pay for the care they use. If you are referred by your employer, insurer or the NHS, your care may be funded as part of your pathway. Our purpose is simple: to remove barriers, restore confidence and help people move forward with the right support at the right time.

I was so grateful to be given the chance to enter into therapy through Dr Julian, the platform was so easy to use and made organising sessions with my therapist very easy. My therapist, Louise Medus, was very understanding and caring during my CBT journey. Our sessions were structured, and I felt supported throughout therapy with a set of Wellbeing tasks that were achievable for me. Louise has taught me to understand my thoughts and feelings better. I was referred through to Dr Julian by my GP for CBT for a skin-picking disorder which totally overwhelmed me for more than 10 years. By the time I started CBT with Dr Jamie Gibbs, I was in a really bad place with it and I felt like nothing would ever help. I do not know what to say other than Jamie has truly changed my life and I will be forever grateful to her. I could not recommend her highly enough.
Christina Foxton - Was the most incredible Therapist, during my time with Christina I was, as I can only describe “a mess” mind body and soul. During my sessions Christina gave me the techniques, tools and advice needed to find my way back to myself again. I am now as we all are a working process with the power to understand my own mind. I would absolutely recommend Dr Julian to anyone struggling with something they think is beyond their control. I was compelled to write this due to my amazing therapist Kathy Elson. Kathy has literally changed my life for the better with her amazing work but also has just been an absolute pleasure to speak with. Kathy made me feel so safe, open, empowered and showed me that I can be in control of my struggles. I will always remember our sessions.
I have to admit, being a sceptic after previous encounters with health services, I have had a positive experience which has really made a change to the way I have been dealing with my anxiety and depression. I actually enjoyed my sessions and always came away with a positive feeling and outlook. The way I now look at my personal situation has changed for the best and I am hopeful that it will continue.

My first time ever doing therapy so was not sure what to really expect. I went in with no expectations but I was able to build such a good rapport with my therapist. Shuwana was empathic, attentive and had a person centred approach at all times. She created a safe environment for me to be able to talk about challenges I wouldn’t usually express.
I was able to get all the tools and strategies I needed over the course of 12 sessions to make positive changes to my emotional well-being.
I got exactly what I needed from the sessions and completed therapy feeling much better than how I did before starting. Thank you Shuwana!
I got referred for cbt therapy as my over thinking and analysing stuff was awful.
At first I was unsure at how comfortable it would be via face time but actually I've never felt so comfortable and at ease.
Kristian is amazing therapist and he went over things till I understood it properly.

I, have really enjoyed my CBT therapy with Mr Peter Roberts counselling sessions (12 weeks).
I was suffering from depression, anxiety, low mood and self-harming. Because of my long-term underlined health conditions.
Mr. Roberts, help me to identify the difference between hypothetical Depression and severe depression and how to pace myself each day so I, won't stress myself or end up feeling low for the whole day.
At first it was very tough for me in terms of trusting anyone.
I, was taught how to feel relax around people and stay focus, motivation and productivity.
After my twelve weeks sessions. I, can now believing myself and knowing how to deal with depression, anxiety and self-harming when ever I, am feeling sad.

I was referred to the service as a result of NHS wait times. I ended up on a 12 week CBT course for Anxiety and Depression, with Theodora as my therapist. First of all, she was an unbelievably helpful therapist who was wonderfully empathetic, and the advice she gave me really helped me turn around my anxiety. I feel like I gained such great insights into my own behaviours, and how to process them, and work on them - both now, and in the future.
Theodora took the time to listen, too, and I found myself looking forward to the sessions each week - I'm sad they're over now! Although I remain very grateful for the help it's given me.
All in all the service has been fantastic, and I found the Dr Julian platform easy to use and not at all a hassle to log into or access messages on. The reminders and surveys were easy to take, and it was a completely painless experience for me. I'm really glad I went with this service instead of waiting on the NHS one, which at the time would have taken me several weeks longer.
I had a course of CBT through Dr Julian for a case of emetophobia. My therapist was Peter and over the 10 weeks we discussed my issues, where and when they become apparent and more severe, and with his help and resources, I am now able to go out and do the things I want to do without worrying about nausea taking over.
Peter took the time to listen to me and to offer advice. Therapy is just as much about your therapist listening to you as it is about you listening to your therapist, and Peter got this balance perfect. I'd like to thank Peter for his time with me and for changing my life for the better.
I can’t recommend Dr. Julian enough. Anne was the lady I was working with, she helped me more than I could ever put into words. Anne was always kind, understanding and showed empathy at all times. I have had many counselling sessions over the years and nothing has come close to Dr. Julian. The professional attitude, excellent communication and never had an appointment cancelled. I miss speaking to Anne, I’m so very grateful to her, and Dr Julian.
This is an excellent service. Shuwana was a great listener and observer, and guided me through my issues with friendly encouragement and skill. She thoughtfully customised from a wide range of resources to find effective ways to help me overcome my particular difficulties. The website was easy to negotiate and Shuwana's open and empathetic approach made it feel as if she was actually with me rather than online! Her support really meant a lot and I feel that I now have the understanding, motivation and resources to continue to progress, although I will really miss our sessions together.
Shuwana from Dr Julian is amazing. She is very understanding and she has a lot of knowledge and skills which she is trying to pass on to you. The way she explains things is so easy to understand and sticks with you making the whole process more enjoyable. It was lovely every time I had to talk to her as she was always listening to me. I felt included all the time and I learned so many things from her. Will highly recommend Shuwana and Dr Julian.
I was an absolute mess with severe anxiety when I first started CBT with Gareth. He has genuinely helped me change my life and deal with the root causes. Highly perceptive to my emotional responses, Gareth made me feel safe, allowing me to express my concerns without judgement and most importantly understand why I was reacting and not to be ashamed.
I have been given the tools to keep moving forward and deal with life.
