All good, Dovetail turned up as agreed, screeded and laid the Amtico flooring as planned, in the agreed timescales. We had a couple of small issues which needed looking at, and they came back and put them right, on an agreed date. However we could see areas where there was adhesive residue marking the floor, so when we called in to settle up our invoice, we enquired as to how we could remove it. We were then presented with a “Free” Amtico Floorcare Starter Kit, which also contained information on other Amtico products which we should use to protect and maintain our new flooring, which is great.
However I would suggest that this should be offered FOC with full instructions at the time that the new flooring is being laid, so that it can immediately be cleaned and protected to keep it looking good. Having spent a fair amount of money to enhance and improve the look of our floors, I would like to now make sure we can maintain the appearance, and hopefully now, we can! This is purely a suggestion/advisory rather than a criticism of Dovetail who did an excellent job.
