300.- Euro für eine verstopfte Toilette. Wir hatten über DK Yachting einen Katamaran gemietet, der neu aus dieser Saison war.

Ein Festmacher, der für das Anlegen an Land vorgesehen war, war deutlich veraltet – schätzungsweise mindestens fünf Jahre alt – und ist während unserer Nutzung gerissen. Obwohl der Schaden klar auf das Alter und die Abnutzung des Seils zurückzuführen war, mussten wir die Kosten vollständig übernehmen.

Zudem war eine der vier Toiletten bereits nach der ersten Benutzung verstopft. Auch hier wurden uns pauschal 300 € verrechnet, was wir als überzogen empfinden.

Die Rückgabe des Bootes gestaltete sich ebenfalls mühsam. Es war schwierig, das von DK Yachting unterzeichnete Übergabeprotokoll zu erhalten, was den Eindruck mangelnder Professionalität hinterlässt.

Insgesamt war die Erfahrung enttäuschend, und ich würde DK Yachting nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren vom 14.06.-21.06.2025 mit der Saiph unterwegs. Übernahme, Betreuung während des Törns und die Rückgabe verliefen sehr professionel und entspannt. Yacht war picobello sauber, technisch top und alles hat bestens funktioniert. Gerne wieder.

Die Übergabe der Yacht Betelgeuse sollte am Samstag erst 17 Uhr stattfinden. Nach einem freundlichen WhatsApp Kontakt war es bereits 15 Uhr möglich das Boot zu übernehmen. Die Übergabe ging schnell. Das Interieur und die äußere Technik wurden von 2 Mitarbeitern übergeben. Bereits bei der Übergabe wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass die Schwimmwesten nur im Notfall aus den Tüten zu entnehmen wären. Sofort auffällig war, dass die Beschriftung für die Klemmen der Leinen fehlte. Sämtliche Beschriftung für Schoten, Leinen und Falle fehlten. Was wenn jemand die Dirk löst und der Großbaum einem Passagier auf den Kopf fällt? Noch nie habe ich gesehen, dass an den Seeventilen für die Toilettenauslasse Vorhängeschlösser angebracht waren, so dass man die Ventile nie schließen konnte. Dies war aus Sicherheitsgründen beim Segeln höchst bedenklich. Beim Ankern in Buchten oder im Hafen allerdings war es wirklich ekelig. Der Fäkalientank wurde komplett umgangen und alles direkt ins Meer geleitet. Es wurde explizit darauf hingewiesen dies nicht zu ändern. Bevor wir ausliefen bekam jeder Mitsegler eine für ihn angepasste selbstaufblasende Ohnmacht sichere Schwimmweste. Bei der Durchsicht der Schwimmwesten fiel jedoch auf, dass 2 von 10 dieser Schwimmwesten bereits ausgelöst waren. Dies wurde sofort bei der Übergabe des Schiffes am Ende des Törns angesprochen - auf die Frage ob alles OK wäre. Danach war die Stimmung bei der Schiffsübergabe sehr frostig. Die Reaktion auf die Demonstration der 2 ausgelösten CO2 Kartuschen war, dass wir die Schwimmwesten doch nur im Notfall auspacken sollten. „Don´t touch!“ Da war kein tut uns Leid zu hören. Daraufhin entgegnete ich, dass jeder Mitsegler vor dem Törn eine für ihn angepasste Schwimmtweste haben muss, die sofort in seiner Kabine griffbereit ist – für den Notfall. Dies sorgte für Unverständnis. Auf die Frage was gewesen wäre, wenn eine Person ohne funktionierende Weste ins Wasser fällt - war die Antwort: „Man kann sie ja auch mit dem Mund aufpusten.“ Als ich sagte, dass ein Bewusstloser dies nicht kann, waren die Kommunikation und die Übergabe zu Ende. Danach inspizierte der Taucher das Boot 17 Uhr. Es wurde eine circa 2 Eurostück große Beschädigung des Rumpfes am Bug unter der Wasserlinie gefunden. Ich ließ mir von dem Taucher das Foto demonstrieren und sprach mit ihm. Er sagte, dass zu fast 100% dies vom Anker verursacht worden war. DK Yachting gab sofort die Reparatur ohne Rücksprache in Auftrag. Der Taucher hatte 2 angefangene Büchsen von Zwei-Komponentenkleber dabei. Es wurde aus jeder Büchse die Menge eines Fingerhutes voll entnommen gemischt und damit der Defekt unter der Wasserlinie verschlossen. Die Reparatur dauerte keine 10 min. Nachdem der Taucher gefahren war, wird mir erörtert, dass die Reparatur 250€ kostet, die ich jetzt zahlen müsse. Daraufhin entspinnt sich eine 2,5 Stunden lang anhaltende Diskussion mit dem Personal von DK Yachting. Ich räume ein dass es möglich ist, dass der Anker die Yacht unter Wasser beschädigt hat und willige ein den Schaden zu bezahlen. Ich verlange aber vorher eine schriftliche Rechnung, ein Foto und den Bericht vom Taucher für meine Kautionsversicherung. Zuerst ist dies nicht möglich, da die Bürozeiten des Tauchers schon vorbei sind. Gegen 19:30 Uhr liegt die Rechnung des Tauchers in griechischer Sprache vor und ich bezahle an DK Yachting mit der Kreditkarte die 250€. Von meiner hinterlegten Kaution von 2500 Euro wollte Evi von DK Yachting dies nicht abziehen. Warum nicht? Zwischenzeitlich erfolgt auch ein Telefonat mit dem Chef von DK Yachting, welcher zufällig der Bruder von Evi ist. Dieser beschimpft mich, warum ich nicht zahlen will und warum ich mich so schlecht benehme. Ich kann DK Yachting nicht empfehlen und rate dringend davon ab hier zu chartern. Es werden in unverantwortlicher Art und Weise essenzielle Sicherheitsregeln und Umweltbestimmungen ignoriert. Es besteht keinerlei Wissen um die Grundsätze einer guten Seemannschaft und null Einsehen in eine sichere Schiffsführung.

These people are thieves.

In 2023, I rented a sailboat from them, through the boataround platform.

2 weeks before we boarded the sailboat, they announced that my permit is not accepted by the port authorities, a lie by the way, and that they will not rent the sailboat.

After which they claimed that in fact their insurance company does not accept my license.

The 3rd reason cited for not renting the boat was that I am not allowed to sail more than 6 miles from the shore, which is correct, i can respect these regulations, but not a condition to refuse a client.

I asked for the money back, they refused.

I rented the same model of sailboat on another platform, with the same permit, from the same marina. There was no problem.

Because of them, I risked losing 4000 euros and ruining the vacation of 7 more people.

I somehow recovered the money from Boataround through a 4000 euro voucher that had to be used until December 31, 2023. So I couldn't use my money as I wanted.

Excellent boat. I took the Rigel, 2019 Elan Impression 44. Very well equipped and comfortable boat supplied in very good condition. We had six days of sailing and motoring around the Saronic Gulf and redelivered on time on the Friday to Evi and Thanassis. All was good until Evi stated that there was a disaster and that a diver had found rope around the propellor and Thanassis checked the sail-drive and found water in the oil of the gearbox. He explained that when rope gets around the propellor it often causes a stress which damages the seal on the sail-drive shaft. So the boat had to come out of the water. The next day I attended the lifting in the marina and saw that it was some fishing netting that had gone between the propellor and the anode on the shaft. OK, lifting out and in, mechanic to dismantle the shaft, replace the seal, flush the gearbox and refill with new oil. All costs to come from the EUR2,500 guarantee that I had left with them one week earlier. I asked what the costs would be but Evi was so stressed she could not answer properly and said that I would get the invoices in a few days. It is now Friday and not only do I not have any invoices but I cannot even get an estimate of the costs from Evi. Total costs including a blocked toilet are unlikely to exceed 600 or 700 euros but they are holding 2,500 from me without any suggestion of when I will be reimbursed with the balance. And rudeness in response to any questions. Apalling.

Update 18th June. In spite of the owner's reply below, still no refund received by my bank. The total costs were over Eur1,300 including 310 for unblocking the toilet charged by the owner. Really?
His comment "Your tactic to hide things or not to comply with contract obligations" flies in the face of reality. I notified them of the blocked toilet the day before returning the boat. The fishing net was not known at the time. Otherwise the boat was just as received.
His comment and tome just confirms that their attitude is really non client oriented, that's for sure.

Final update - balance received 20th June, not as claimed by the owner below.

A very bad experience for us! We rented a boat one month ago and with 4 days before the trip, the company cancelled it and refuse to return the money

A week sailing in the Saronic Gulf and around the island of Hydra. Very clean and beautiful yacht in very good condition. The handover went smoothly and Evi from dkyachting is absolutely professional and very nice.

Hi..the yacht was perfect.all the instrument works perfect no eny problems epir during the sailing.
We get privately serves from the crew that was very friendly and professionally.

We got a very clean Elan Impression 45 model 2018.
Very good looking and in a very good condition.
The check in was done while taking care to check that nothing was missing.
We got explanation about the sails. Evy explained everything, and checked that it works smootly.
We didn't have any problems with the equipments
Checking out. They ordered a diver to check the yacht. Checked the sails and all other parts. Very kindly and nicely.
We will for sure contact them for a yacht on our next visit to Athens.

Amazing experience! Brand new yacht on perfect condition and well maintained. Booking process was super easy and hassle free. Definitely one of my best vacations around Greek islands and a memorable experience! Highly recommended!

Hired the Elan Impression, wich is in perfect condition and well maintained. Good sailing and equipped with extra's, as a dinghy and paddleboard. Also navigation instruments with chartplotter were in good condition. Check-inn was well organized, with a perfect clean inventory, and sufficient bed covers and towels.
The only recommandation for DK Yachting is to add a bigger battery on the general purpose, because with no shore power and less use of the motor, the refrigerator stops working and power is under 12 V. motor battery is ok to start the engine whenever needed.

The boat was great, the service as well. We had some issues with the boat but they were sorted asap and well. Fully reccommend.
