Excellent customer service

We bought 2 Christmas tree arches for our outdoor Christmas decorations at home although they were listed as indoor and outdoor they were actually just indoor use. That’s not a problem l contacted customers service and spoke to Sophie nothing was too much trouble for her and she arranged, due to their size, a free returns the next day. Money refunded the day after. Now all other online companies should strive to achieve this company’s standard. Well done and five stars all the way. By the way we didn’t manage to get the outdoor archways so back to the drawing board

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
This is a very rude company. Customer service is horrific. I spoke to an assistant about an issue I had and it was not resolved after hundreds of emails back and forth. On top of this, my gloss was delivered split and dented. They are money grabbing and do not care about customers. The issue isn't about not cancelling the order, the issue is how rude they are.

Customer tried to cancel the order after it had been dispatched. We advised that unfortunately this was not possible as the parcel had already been dispatched from our warehouse.

The customer then reported that the item was delivered damaged, we asked for some photographs of this and we are yet to receive a response.

Summer house paint

Found the Sikkens paint I needed for the exterior of my summer house at a very good price with free delivery. Product was delivered a few days later in perfect condition. Could not ask for more.

Highly recommended

Finally sourced the fence paint we needed and diydirect.co.uk Were the only website to have it in stock. Ordered on a Sunday and was delivered on the Thursday, on a bank holiday week and during covid19. I would highly recommend this website, the packaging was spot on all arrived with no damage. Thank you diydirect.co.uk

Great service & Fast free delivery!

I ordered some Sikkens wood stain after reading reviews online I was confident this company would be fine.
They happened to be about the best price online and delivery was free to.
I did email about delivery as the tracking didn't work, that was very quickly fixed and working again. Email reply was in about 20mins of sending which is excellent.
Paint arrived when they said it would and now I'm just waiting for the rain to pass so I can get cracking!! Thanks for the top job guys!! I'll be back again!!

Excellent customer service throughout... from offering support so I chose the correct paint product, all the way through to a very speedy delivery.

Very impressed and will definitely use them again.

AVOID THESE FRAUDSTERS!

Total bunch of scammers...paid £6.99 for Express Delivery and a week and a half later having enquired as to the whereabouts it turns out the tracking number included in the dispatch email was made up and they had not sent with an express or tracked delivery service despite charging me for this. They had chucked in the regular post 6 days later (dispatch email sent to me 3 days before the parcel actually left the premises). Have been back and forth on email and even more shamefully they have suggested this is all due to COVID-19 - delays of course reasonable and expected; but sending false dispatch notices, pretend tracking numbers, sending via regular post when charging for express? How is this anything to do with COVID-19? To charge a customer for something falsely is simply fraudulent. And to blame on the current terrible situation - shameful. AVOID.

*and a few things wrt the somewhat fictional reply:
- the delivery charge has not been fully refunded only £3 of the £6.99 despite them saying that they would at least make this small gesture
- this was ordered Wed so if dispatched per indicated 1-2 timeframe would have been sent prior to Bank Holiday
- to blame on delays with the postal service when it should have been sent as an Express Delivery as charged is an interesting defence

I am really sorry that your parcel was delayed within the postal network due to the high number of parcels being sent during the corona virus crisis.

The order was placed the day before the Easter bank holiday so therefore left our warehouse on the Tuesday with Royal Mail 1st class.

We did refund the cost of the express postage as soon as you made us aware that you had not received the delivery. I am sorry that on this occasion you were not happy with our resolution.

Stay away from this company

DIY DIRECT advertise a certain brand(KAEMINGK) of Christmas tree that can also be found in our Leekes out of town dept store but a lot cheaper, but what you do get is a tree from another manufacturer and NOT AS GOOD QUALITY, AND NOT AS ADVERTISED , but when you contact DIY DIRECT your firstly told it's the same make but a different name and when you point out to them that they are braking CONSUMER PROTECTION REGULATIONS 2008 & 2015 then the attitude changes to Tough!!!! We ain't going to do anything just send it back if you want at your expense (£25)

Received very poor quality item and had to pay myself for the return!!!

I have ordered a snowy garland (which looked nice on the photo) and another two items from DIY-Direct. In reality the garland happened to be very poor quality, all "snow" were coming off leaving absolute mess. I had to pay for the return of the item because DIY-Direct refused to do so, stating (quote): "... these are quite messy, however it is just how they are manufactured. They will use a lot of snow because they know it will flake off and therefore, when it does, the item still has the snow effect it is supposed to." I think the snow effect supposed to be on the garland, not flaking off it." Not happy with this company at all. Definitely would not be buying anything from them again!!!
