The team at Dissertation by Design was instrumental in my academic journey. They helped me achieve a crucial milestone - a successful proposal defense and have always been available to answer questions. The writing retreats and bootcamps are a game changer. I am in the home stretch of completing my PhD. When I called Jessica (Owner) I was quite frantic with the litany of edits I was receiving from my committee. She immediately put me at ease. After our call she promptly sent me an email and connected me with Veronica (dissertation coach).

My overall experience has been fantastic. I had previously hired a coach and it was not the best experience. Dissertation by Design is tailored to the needs of each client. I think the payment system of paying for hours and using them as needed. Since using DBD a once stagnate PhD is now headed towards me being completed in 2023!

I have been practicing academic writing for research with "Dissertation by Design" for several months. It’s a nice professional community that you can connect with once or twice a week and discover – or brush up – a particular topic useful for developing research papers, dissertations and similar academic works. There are also more intensive bootcamps and other meeting formats. I have done an intensive literature review bootcamp for 1 month with 4 practical workshops, preparatory assignments, and personalized guidance. I could use what I have learned immediately to write reports in my daily research routines. Becoming a more effective academic writer is like being in a profession: learning it does not happen overnight and you need to practice your craft regularly to keep up to date, but it really helps to move forward.

I had my dissertation edited by dissertation by design. I was nervous because my quantitative research required a lot of numbers, statistics, and tables. I wanted to be sure the editor had specific experience reviewing quantitative data. They did a great job and were super helpful in the last home stretch!
