Purchased the wrong software…

Purchased the wrong software accidentally, immediately contacted them to get a refund to purchase the correct software and they said too bad, buy both. Then guilt tripped me for wanting the original purchase refunded. Never got a refund and now I have $50 worth of software that I'll never use as it's not applicable to my needs.

I purchased the software and tested it…

I purchased DiskInternals EFS Recovery and tested it thoroughly, but it did not work for my use case. The software was unable to detect or recover any usable decryption certificates. Support was unhelpful, and communication became unprofessional after I requested a refund. The issue was only resolved after opening a PayPal dispute, which resulted in a refund. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this product.

Excelent Customer Service, Raid Recovery

Bought their RaidRecovery software without actually needing to (didn't realise it had file preview in trial version). After all recovered data turned out corrupted (NOT the software's fault, data was simply too damaged).
I opened a ticket for refund and was initially offered assistance in recovery (sending logs of the scan), but when they confirmed that the data was indeed unrecoverable, they immediately issued a refund.

Buyer Beware

TL;DR; Earlier this year renewed one month before expiration; Renewal does not extend current licence, resets it; Requested refund, stating I would renew again after expiration; Tried to renew; Refused due to refund, told me to go elsewhere, no exceptions;

I was a happy long time owner of a single licence of DiskInternals Linux Reader Pro, I only needed it maybe two or three times a year to recover files from mostly Linux image files, but I always like to support companies that provide great software and good customer support. This year I discovered that the latter was wrong. So as I always try to do, I saw that my licence was going to expire the following month, thought nothing to go online and get a reduced licence upgrade price, and that should have been it. Only I noticed that the end date of the new licence expired only year after the purchase not a year after the last licence expired. After contacting DiskInternals and asking about this, I requested a refund stating that I wanted to get the full time out of the old licence and I would renew once it had expired. They gave me the refund, thank-you. So a few months later, as I'd forgotten about it, I went back and went through the renewal process again. Waited. Waited a few more hours and nothing - no confirmation of the completed process or anything else. As it was late on a Friday I though perhaps it's just a weekend thing. But then on Sunday I received notification from the payment processor that my order had been refused. I contacted them back and they told me to email DiskInternals, so I did. On the Monday I received the reply "Thank you for choosing DiskInternals. We do not accept orders from clients that received the refund. You'll have to look elsewhere.". What the heck is this? I asked them to reconsider explaining what had happened before, but they refused again. I'm not taking it any further other than to report this here as a warning to anyone else - I've never in my 40+ years come across a company that renews like this, or I've just been very lucky, but to me it felt like a money grab over genuine customers that maintain a good renewal policy. I've also discovered that thanks to Microsoft I can acheive the exact same thing under Window 11 using WSL which will also be more reliable, plus it is free.

My QNAP failed

My QNAP (single RAID) failed, and I couldn't get to the data. I even tried mounting it in a Linux box. I could see the partition, but didn't have any success getting to the data. Even though the disk had Linux partitions, in a last ditch effort I looked to see if there were any Windows apps that might read that type of partition.

Of course there were.

In just a couple of clicks I had Linux Reader installed on a Windows box, the drive connected by USB, and the partition opened. There was a warning that the RAID was broken, but I was able to access it anyway. Finally I had all my data back. It was so easy to just select the folders and choose Save, using another disk as the destination.

Such an easy app to use. Thank you.

No response from support and no data recovery!

I purchased their RAID Recovery software (6 disk license) on understanding I could request a 'Guided Recovery Service' as per their website (written under 'Download and start recovery' on their RAID recovery product page) . This was duly requested the day I purchased the software on 7th Feb 2023 but they have not responded once to my ticket, despite numerous requests/ticket updates via their support desk. I even resorted to sending them a message via their Facebook page and again I was ignored. I spent 522.98 GBP on this product, which was unable to recover the data (despite the software showing full file/folder listings in the trial mode). I am going to continue to pursue this matter, but in the meantime, please be warned, as based on my own experience, you will get no support whatsoever from this company and may, like me, end up having to hire a professional data recovery specialist to restore your data.

2 hours later... nothing

Downloaded a DiskInternals Partition Recovery trial, ran it on a USB stick that had reverted to RAW. The software ground away for 2 hours and found nothing. I then installed Disk Drill, which found 290 corrupted files.

no support

Bought the software this summer. Some error occurred, so I opened a Ticket. Got only one time a reply (august) since then the support doesn't reply at all.

I've tried today this software in trial…

I've tried today this software in trial version and I've been impressed really when I saw its fast way of functioning and the, say, inumerous files of all types which it might be recovered.. I just wait for the best offer to buy it..and I'll have to buy an external hard drive of two or three tb to save them..since my Toshiba 931gb suddenly stop yesterday to show the files inside (because of a tv decoder connected
I suppose..)

Reliable software

Oh, it's been a long day trying to recover my project document. I've completely lost hope about the recovery knowing that the file got lost from my hard drive. I didn't know it was possible to recover lost files on harddrive again until I started searching online if there's a way out. Who wouldn't be troubled? Final project document at that.
Thanks to my friend who recommended this DiskInternals Partition recovery software for me after saving her also. I'm blown away with the fact that it's so easy to use and there are guides to the procedures for recovering the lost files. Also, I was full of joy for being able to see my file intact for free before paying to get it. That's applaudable. Thanks guys. I recommend this Partition recovery software with my whole heart

The recovery process consists of a careful byte by byte analysis of all internal data structures. The duration of the process depends on the volume of the disk and the access speed. For RAID technology, it also depends on the level of RAID and the number of disks. Another critical moment - is the extent of damage caused to the file system.

Due to house renovation

Due to house renovation, my computer was handled improperly causing injury and consequently failure of the hard drive. This resulted in me losing all my years worth of data that included family photos and work documents.

Quite frankly I had lost all hope in the possibility of retrieving it. That’s when I found DiskInternals’ Partition Recovery. I was skeptical, but decided to try the trial version as there was no harm in doing so. The preview feature took a rock off my shoulders. I’ve managed to recover all of my material.

The fact that I recovered all my data makes me feel assured that if a mishap like this were to occur again I don’t have to be worried at all. I would most certainly recommend this to everyone who has lost data and are looking for a way to recover it.

I had issues with this software and the…

I had issues with this software and the company offering a free trial. Well, nothing is free that helps get lost files. That is what is needed, and cost lots of money.

Trustpilot- look at all of the 5 star reviews I looked at many, it is 100% obvious that the same person is writing them!! The way the improper sentences and words are written is the same in each review!? And, how many say: so and so "advised me to get DiskInternals, and I am glad I did." Or, "now my ... is with me again."

People dont say my mother "advised me," "my friend advised me," and so on. That wording is in many reviews. And "now my pictures are with me again." ?? Who says that? No one, or at least it is rare.

However, it is written in many reviews. It took 5min to see a pattern with those same irregular words or phrases. If a little time was invested, it would be easy to see DiskInternals wrote many if not all the positive reviews....

One of my vmware hosts crashed during…

One of my vmware hosts crashed during the daily backup and left several snapshot files in the vm folder. When the host was powered on again it was noticed two days later that the previous days work was missing. Long story short, this product saved my bacon by allowing me to mount and review all of the snapshot files as well as the base disk and recover the missing files. It was well worth the $699 to save my customers data.
