Hmmmm....never again.
Our first Electra 7 wheelchair mostly good , so we bought another from Discover your Mobility when it finally wore out. This one was bad. Within a month we needed the joy stick replaced. The needed a machine to reset it because it went too fast. Then the foot plate never stayed up. And finally after only 8 months, the foot plate completely broke in two places where it was welded. We called them and told them what happened and sent a photo of it. Later that day they emailed us and they would send a new part. We called and asked the manager how we were supposed to fix it ourselves, and the manager said that we needed to screw it on. We said no, its welded, we cant find a place to screw it on so we cant, and we need a new one. She was very resistant, and told us to send it back and the person who fixes them will check to see if it can be fixed. I said we wanted a new one and she just repeated herself. She said for me to take it to the UPS store and she would pay for shipping. We asked what my disabled daughter was going to do until they get this resolved, she can't just sit in the same place for all of that time and she has appointments. She didn't care. So I took it to UPS and let the employee talk to her. They told her that they couldn't take a credit card over the phone to pay for the shipping. Only the manager can and he wasn't here. And the didn't have a box big enough. She said that they could build a box for it. The employee's said that they had no way to do that and that they can't take a credit card over the phone, and she really rude. I got back on the phone and she told me that they were making all of these excuses, and to take it to another UPS store. I told her that she was the one making excuses, and that I have a disabled daughter at home and cannot drive a wheel chairs to different UPS stores. She finally said she would just send a new chair. She sent it ground shipping, it took seven days,m making my disabled daughter wait for it to come.
