Horrible

My one and only time of using them I waited weeks and weeks and got nothing but email telling me the price has increased and gouging me for more money with not even a date of delivery for what i ordered. Do not use this company.

Non Profit Business Finds Champion IT Procurement through DirectDial

We as non profit cannot carry funding from this fiscal to next: DirectDial understood this challenge and gave us option to pay monthly for our IT projects that are multi year long. No competition could match the low interest rates, low pricing for hardware and software at the level of same day service that DirectDial has offered us. Our representative was Chris McNally cmcnally at directdial dot com and he is a man of steel helping us through demanding procurements with precision and speed. We have tried other VARs, like CDW, SoftChoice, Insight, CompuGen, LongViewSystems, SHI Corp, and for us as we reflect back, NO ONE matches the level of service, pricing and dedication to address our businesses weakness and make us stronger in our IT needs than DirectDial. I have been buying stuff for my businesses from DirectDial for years and I have always had a great service. Web site is efficient. Rep is very helpful. Prices are very good.

Great Company to Work With

Great reps, the one we usually work with is awesome and anyone he gets to cover for him when he's gone is the same. Fast responses and usually can get orders out same day if you get them in before noon. Anytime we have issues, which is rare, they get sorted out quickly.

Direct Dial makes it easy.

Kan (salesrep) make the process easy. He knows his product and I never have to wait more than 30 minutes for an order to be processed.

Overall Direct Dial is the source for all of my IT needs.

Waist of time. Will not order from them any more.

Ordered product with 2 weeks lead time. Estimated shipping date was constantly pushed forward. It took them 2.5 months from the order date to notify me that the ordered product was discontinued by manufacturer and cannot be supplied anymore. Huge waist of time!

Direct Dial pulled a bait & switch on a…

Direct Dial pulled a bait & switch on a laptop.
After providing screenshots etc to prove what I received was not the product they listed on the website they flat out said "That doesn't prove anything" and wanted to charge a restocking fee based off of their own mistake.

In addition to that, I asked for a simple quote on one license for software and back-to-back emails came in with the quote and then the invoice claiming the software had been added as requested so here's your bill.
....

Then when I replied to the invoice email stating that I simply wanted a quote and did not want to proceed with adding the license, I received an "out of the office" email - Same day, middle of the day.
As if the sales rep just rushed through the order and then ran out as fast as possible.

There were many more mistakes made as well but these two are enough to make you ill.

I have to admit I'm astounded at the level of incompetence and the response with regards to their mistake on the laptop is just unbelievable.

How do these people run a business?

We had been buying from Direct Dial for +10yrs prior to this but apparently they have not only gone down hill but genuinely don't seem to care one way or the other.

Unfortunately we still have major software licenses through this place but as each one is up for renewal I'm getting them literally anywhere else.

Unfortunately, the image provided to us by our supplier was not identical to the product itself though all other information about the item was described accurately on our website. While we work hard to ensure the accuracy of product imagery on our website, with over 600K items in our online catalog, we must rely on 3rd party sources for product imagery and slight variations are possible. To help prevent this from negatively impacting our customers, we have a team of Account Managers available to assist our clients when choosing products. Additionally, the following message “Pictures for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary.” is shown in bold letters directly below the product image on all product pages of our website. We hope this onsite message will encourage customers to take the time to read the product descriptions and technical specifications provided on our website prior to ordering any items or alternatively, reach out to us for confirmation.

Due to the image error, we did provide an exception to return your open box laptop, though a restocking fee was applied. The restocking fee is in accordance with our terms and conditions which you agree to when purchasing from DirectDial.com. Once again, we deeply apologize for the mistake regarding the order placed in error when you requested a quote for licensing. Our Account Managers work in teams and are supported by an entire team of administrative professionals. If an Account Manager needs to be out of the office during their regular business hours, they always have a colleague backing them up. Your Account Managers backup did respond to you and correct the issue with the order placed in error. This issue was resolved the same day, prior to you being invoiced.

We understand that even long-standing business relationships can change over time and respect your decision to move your business to another reseller.

directdial.com pulled a bait and switch…

directdial.com pulled a bait and switch on me. They had listed a product (a hard drive) on their website for $355 per unit with no minimum quantity. The inventory status said they were expecting 18 in stock in four days. Given the limited number in stock I called in to validate the information and make sure those 18 weren't already allocated to other orders. The sales agent I spoke with stated that the inbound products were actually a carton of 20 and that only 2 had been allocated so far leaving 18 available for purchase. I confirmed the price and placed the order over the phone with the agent. The next day the agent emailed me stating that the pricing was incorrect (keep in mind I validated this both on the web site and while speaking with the agent on the phone). That price was only for a carton of 20 and their cost on a per unit basis is $513 so they'd have to charge me 5% over that ($540) rather than the $355 quoted to me both on the web site and the phone. This is after he had already told me the day before that the inbound products were in fact a carton that they were splitting so that mean their cost was NOT in fact $513 but rather WOULD support the $355 price on the web site. He said he'd either have to charge me the $540 or sell me 20 of them and make me wait 2-4 weeks for the products. This is classic bait and switch, beware doing business with these people. In the end I found that CDW has the same product for $120 less than their "revised" pricing after the order had been placed so I've canceled my order with directdial.com and will be buying from them instead. Thoroughly frustrating experience when IT equipment is often needed quickly and they wasted my time trying to soak me for a higher price.
