The Hotel closed the door at 10pm
The Hotel closed the door at 10pm, guests were issued a code to get in after 10pm. We arrived back at the hotel at 11.30, the code for the door did not work, I phoned the hotel number and spoke I think to the owner who refused us entry, I told her we had 2 rooms but still insisted we were not getting in. At the end of the road was a small restaurant , I spoke with the person there to speak to the owner of the Matteo hotel to let us in, after 10min wait the door opened and we were allowed in. In the morning we decided to check out, we has stayed 2 nights but had booked for 5 nights, they insisted that we had booked for 5 nights and had to stay as that was a contract with the hotel. I phoned my Italian friend who spoke to the owner, 1 hour the call lasted, she was not giving way, in the end she discounted the dinner and the beach. The website details were not correct as the dinner was served in another hotel, quality awful, not what we expected in Abruzzo. We paid the balance and left, never to return to this hotel.
