Javier was our guide and was very welcoming. He was very engaging and brought our group together in a comfortable manner. He was very informative about the history of our walking tour as well as the food and drink we were able to try. There was plenty of food and drink for everyone to enjoy. He also accommodated allergens.

Our tour guide and the restaurant owners were amazing. We really enjoyed being able to easily walk from restaurant to restaurant, meeting other people in the group and enjoying delicious food and great wines in Barcelona!

Really nice introduction to local cuisine and history
Really nice introduction to local cuisine and history, perfect for our first day in Barcelona. Excellent selection of restaurants and bars that were NOT tourist traps. Plenty of food for an evening meal. Everything we tried was delicious. Guide was very knowledgeable, and was able to provide a good recommendation for a restaurant we visited another day. The group was a manageable size. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

We had taken 3 Devour tours in the last…
We had taken 3 Devour tours in the last three years. Our first one in Rome was fantastic and took us to spots that we would not have found on our own. This is why we took a second one in Bologna, which was almost as good as and the guide gave a lot of food history of Italy. We then signed up to the third at Florence which we were not as impressed with. However, it was also not time wasted, just not as great as the previous two.

Small Groups, Fantastic Experiences
The concept of a small group being guided by a local was perfect. They gave us as much local lore and info as any other tour plus great spots for eating and drinking. You get to meet people from all over the world, great food. Best way to get introduced to any city they operate in. I’ve been on 7 tours in 6 cities and never been disappointed.

Barcelona was absolutely amazing!
Barcelona was absolutely amazing, but our Seville tour sucked.
Barcelona we did funky bars and eateries, tried some truly local food and dishes and just had the best guide ever in Vera. She was so helpful with other suggestions for our time in Barcelona too. So amazing!
Seville was such a disappointment. The first stop was awesome for jamon and vermouth but then it was all very sub par after that, and our guide had absolutely no enthusiasm or charisma.

The best guided tour of Seville for history affictionados and foodies
I traveled to Seville by myself, and although I'm accustomed to going around and trying food unaccompanied, going for tapas seemed to me to warrant a different experience. I booked the trip through the website in advance and had no problems finding the meeting place and our guide.
My initial expectation was for an overview of the city's offerings, with a fun guide and interesting company. The tour delivered fully, and above what I asked for. Our guide, Clara, is absolutely enamored with Seville's history and culinary traditions, excitingly and infectiously. Every place she took the group had some connection to the lives of Sevillanos, from the family bar of the illustrious creators of the vino de naranja, to a historic emporium selling the best jámon ibérico people buy for special occasions, all within walking distance in the Old City. She included many historical details that enriched the experience immensely and wouldn't be found easily online. Clara was very thoughtful in accommodating my dietary restrictions, and I was able to have a couple of local dishes not originally planned for the tour (the salmorejo, especially, was divine). I walked back to my hotel having eaten well, drunk some great wine, and learned a great deal about the history of Seville and how to navigate the restaurant scene better on my own. The tour was one of the most enjoyable experiences I had on my trip to Seville. I highly recommend it.

Highly recommend Ultimate Lisbon…
We really enjoyed the Ultimate Lisbon Food tour in October. We loved all the food stops and appreciated that many of the stops were protected historic heritage sites along with a nice balance of history. Our guide was wonderful. A great way to enjoy the cuisine and sights of Lisbon I can’t recommend this tour enough!
