Outstanding, supber company.
David and his team were and still being extremely helpful. The system was installed last while my husband was enjoying his last few weeks. The lads made his day chatting cracking jokes and then all when finished all sitting down with us and having a drink and laughs. Priceless. The system best thing I've spent money on in years. I called yesterday to ask what tariff I should be on David not only recognised my voice and who I was he knew exactly what tariff I should be on. Could not ask for better and a big shout out to the office staff who always text or call back.

They give me 10yrs warranty but after installation of 6 month storage battery stopped working. I called them 100 times but they didn't come to sort it . Very disappointed waiting up to two years no one comes back Very bad service 😞
Very knowledgeable
I had a lot of questions as I am still at the very start of my solar journey. I am not ready to fully commit to having solar just yet as I have preplanned building work going on but as soon as I am ready I will happily open the conversation with Deege and have them install. Anyone in the same boat as me should go with these guys
appalling customer care
Panels fitted in 2022 with a few dramas along the way, and significant delays in compliance paperwork. Issue with poor panel production last summer (2025) that took over 3 months for someone to come out and look - and less than an hour to fix the fault, £100s of export monies lost as a result. Now discovered pigeons nesting despite paying extra for bird proofing fitted and again almost impossible to get hold of someone for advice or assistance. Phoned 3 weeks ago and left message however no follow up and now number keeps ringing out unanswered and no answer machine. Poor.
Quality service
I recently had a solar system installed by Deege Solar and I’m really happy with how everything went.
From the first conversation through to the install and handover, the whole process felt smooth and easy. Everything was clearly explained along the way and I always knew what was happening, which made it all feel pretty stress free.
The install team were great. They turned up on time, got straight to work and were professional throughout. You could tell they knew what they were doing and they took care while working on the house. They were also friendly and happy to answer questions, which I appreciated.
Overall it was a really positive experience and I’d happily recommend Deege Solar to anyone thinking about getting solar installed.
Excellent customer service
Everything was explained to me thoroughly, and much I massively appreciated.Chloe was extremely helpful & professional especially with the paperwork. Genuinely could ask for better customer service. Many thanks.
I have recently had an installation…
I have recently had an installation with Deege, as I understand it they are now Upvolt. Everyone I have dealt with personally has been very helpful and professional. The installers were knowledgeable and very neat with their work. Chloe has been helping me with the paperwork which has been pushed through very quickly. Great turn around. Couldn’t ask for better service
Design meant it doesn’t work - not registered
Through poor design, I’ve just realised that 4 of the panels are working at all. They have never worked as they do not generate enough voltage to start the inverter. Since identifying this, I’m continually getting palmed off even though all still under warranty. After several months I’ve taken this to the regulatory they claim to be a part of - but search in NAPIT or MCS and they are not registered- despite claiming so on their website. MCS confirmed this in writing. Avoid this company at all costs. Similar to the other review. An electrician has also confirmed that work took shortcuts and doesn’t follow regulations, which is why I’m guessing they are no longer members of approved bodies.
Unsafe installers
To be honest we had an install a couple of years back of solar and batteries and it has been ok. However, hubbie is now an electrician and we have had a couple of electricians look at the actual install and point out several of the works are not up to code and borderline unsafe. They dont use qualified electricians to do installs, and the guy who actually came to sign it off at the time was obviously unimpressed with the job but then still signed it off. Workmanship is an actual joke. Hubbie will now have to re wire and make good.
Good service
I was dealing with David thought-out this project. This was an upgrade of Solar with Battery a install. Overall communication was good, every time I called the office l I was able to speak to someone. Very happy with the install and performance of the system.
Helpful and honest consultations.
Deege have been a great help with my solar journey. The company was recommended by a neighbour who had had solar panels fitted by them three years ago. Having outlined my needs, David, the company MD, was quick to provide some good options, which were backed up with lots of useful information. In the event, I decided to accept a quote from another company based principally on cost. However, based on my consultations with David, I have no hesitation in recommending Deege to others like me considering installing solar.
1 year and I’ve harvested 3pence…
1 year and I’ve harvested 3pence according to Myenergi and Octopus . Basically the system doesn’t produce electricity or the CT doesn’t work (current reader ) so if I am harvesting electricity it’s been going free to the grid. My electricity bill is £127 per month for two of us -Feb (although we have a new gas boiler for heating and hot water) and we are both at work 5 days a week.
I was holding back the last £500 until I knew the system was working, but Kate persuaded me to pay it against my better judgement. Now it’s impossible to get anyone to get my system working even though i have Scott’s and Ryan’s WhatsApp’s , they are massively understaffed . One time Ryan told me he had to go to Exeter from Kent and back just to replace some batteries. Why would they not subcontract this out when they cannot cope?
All the staff are friendly enough but overstretched.
So frustrated that I emailed and threatened them to take the lot out and give me back my £10k back -seems that doesn’t phase them ! No response except “we will sort it. “
The panels are like 14 months old and past their prime .
If it was a brand new car you would simply return it , right!
My brother recommended them , but now he’s moved and used another company because of my experience .
Worst £10 k I’ve invested
7.65kw and a big battery
It wasn't all done correctly first time but the fixes were minor, and carried out quickly. It all seems to be performing as promised now and it cost less than the other quotes I got.
Good service at the start, but extremely disappointing after-sales
When I first ordered the service from this company, everything seemed great. The team was friendly, the service during the installation process was good, and at that stage I had no complaints at all.
However, once the payment was completed, getting anything done became almost impossible. We had to wait around six months for the certificates, which I initially understood since it was winter and delays can happen.
A few months later I noticed that one of the two batteries was not working properly (or possibly not working at all). I contacted them about this and they promised several times that someone would come to inspect and fix the issue. Unfortunately, for the past two months I have been constantly told that someone will come soon, but nobody has actually shown up.
Now it seems they have simply stopped responding and are ignoring my messages completely.
The frustrating part is that the sunny season has already started, which is exactly when the system should be producing the most benefit, but because of this unresolved issue the system is not working as it should.
It is very disappointing, and unfortunately I will probably have to hire another company to diagnose and fix the problem.
This experience really makes me question whether it is worth supporting local businesses if the after-sales service is handled like this.
Over the last four years I’ve been…
Over the last four years I’ve been investigating Solar and having lots of different companies come round and try and rip me off with ridiculous prices and not giving me exactly what I wanted Deege Solar was recommended to me by my colleagues Uncle who has been nicknamed the Solar guru!! after speaking to David the owner he came across on the phone as very honest extremely knowledgeable and completely agreed with what I felt I wanted on my roof which was quite Simply wherever the Sun is. I want as many solar panels as possible, apparently that was music to his ears. let me put this into perspective all other companies apart from David could only put six solar panels on my roof apparently.!! I now have 18😁 also David’s price was quite a few thousand pounds cheaper than everyone else’s
After paying the deposit on the phone on trust only within a few weeks things started happening. I run my own business and have worked closely with electricians and roofers all my life and I know if they’re not at the top of their game this was not the case with David’s tradesmen. They were all at the very top of their game and very trustworthy to the point. I actually left my house for a couple of hours unlocked with three people on my property that I’d only known for a day and I was at peace the work and the product they have done and supplied is quite Simply 2nd to none I would highly recommend this company. Don’t bother with anyone else it’s not worth it.
Disgraceful Deege
Where to start with this absolute disaster?
My Deege ordeal began in August 2024. Yes, you read that correctly: 2024. Whilst the right make & capacity inverter was installed, it was the wrong model: charging and discharging the batteries at a slower rate than I'd specified. Furthermore, the system pulls about a kWh of energy from the grid every day, even when I'm not at home and peak usage is only around 400W. This occurs regardless of the load placed upon the system or the fact that there is energy available in the batteries to service the load.
Getting Deege Solar to respond is a herculean task. They're happy to pick up the phone when they're waiting for payment, but post installation service is atrocious to non-existent. Their phone lines are never answered and e-mails are blatantly ignored. It was October of 2024 before I could get a-hold of someone. The conversation started well, but things went downhill when we disagreed about the inverter discharge rate, with him ultimately, point-blank, refusing to do anything about it as it would cost him too much money.
I was told it would be a further six weeks before a site visit could be arranged to correct the excessive power draw. I agreed that they could attend the week before Christmas. Things then went very quiet, so I e-mailed them in mid-December to remind them of their obligation: I got no reply. When the day of the site visit arrived, despite waiting in all day, no-body arrived, nobody e-mailed and nobody called. By this time, I was not exactly surprised.
I logged a complaint with HIES, only to learn that Deege had ceased to be a member since 2023, although their website still claimed membership (as a result of my notifying HIES, it no longer does). I've subsequently logged a complaint with MCS, who have referred my case to NAPIT. At this point, Deege did at least come to the table. In light of my experience, I was offered a “system upgrade”: the 6kW Growatt inverter would be replaced by 2 x 3.6kW inverters operating in parallel. This installation was supposed to take place in April 2025, but after their installation team turned-up without any kit, then the wrong kit was delivered, along with numerous other issues, I was left operating on a single 3.6kW inverter for a further three weeks before installation was finally completed in May 2025.
It was around this time that I finally got my handover documentation (inaccurate), MCS certificate & G99 registration, but missed out on 8 months of export revenue.
Problems persisted with the new system (some even getting worse) & Deege continued to ignore me. Proceedings were then escalated to MCS who served Deege Solar with MULTIPLE suspensions of their license, yet still I was ignored by Deege Solar. Eventually, in late 2025 I was contacted as it seemed they’d noticed there was “an outstanding customer complaint” (it’s about the only thing that is outstanding about this company): I imagine it’s hard to issue MCS certificates to your new customers if you’ve had your license suspended. I also wonder if this is not the first time they’ve had such license suspensions, given it took them 7 months to issue my own MCS certificate.
A further “system upgrade” was then agreed & an installation date set. A week before installation, they called to push the date back three weeks, and then failed to attend the new installation date, without any prior notice whatsoever. Via NAPIT & MCS, I’m now claiming a full refund. If they don’t oblige, they’ll be paying solicitors fees and compensation, too.
If you're reading this because you're scouting Deege Solar for potential business, I'd encourage you to go elsewhere. No matter what it is about them that is tempting you, re-read my experience and ask yourself if you want to go through the same thing: is it really worth it?
My story is a very long one which…
My story is a very long one which started with another company. But in December 2025 I contacted Deege to help with my Sungrow battery storage system. The fitters turned up beginning of January and replaced the Inverter as I was told by previous company that it was faulty. It turned out it was sabotaged, as company went broke. After Deege fitters left, hoping that all was working, I woke the next morning to find that the batteries had not charged overnight even I was on Octopus Intelligent Go. I am now on Octopus Go as my car (Mii) and wall charger are not compatible (sungrow EV charger box). Spent 4 weeks trying to help get the battery storage up and running. Nothing back from Deege.
Dave from deege solar has been…
Dave from deege solar has been enormously helpful in my quest to upgrade my solar panels and battery storage. His knowledge is second to none, and his prices are the most competitive out there . I would highly recommend
Thanks
We decided to have pv panels on our…
We decided to have pv panels on our roof, having had panels in our previous property. Alas, the old FITariffs no longer apply so it isn’t as profitable as it used to be. Degee turned up to install panels on the roof, inverter and battery in September 2022. All done and dusted within a day and a half.
I was a bit apprehensive about using Chinese built equipment as my dealings with Chinese manufacturers in the past have been problematical to say the least. However, writing four years later, I have to say that there have been no glitches or problems with any aspect of the installation Degee was responsible for. The system has worked faultlessly for more than 3 years and I have asked Degee Solar to install another battery to enhance our independance from the usual power suppliers. If the new installation is as good as the last one, I shall be delighted.
This is the second install from Deege
This is the second install from Deege, the system was well designed and consisted of 15 solar panels with Tesla powerwall 3, tesla gateway and tesla powerwall 3 expanson unit.
All paperwork given in a handover pack together with the necessary certifications.
The work was done by the deege team themselves and the cables were neat.
Very happy with the install
