We had a very complicated house purchase to complete which involved a complicated mortgage. From day one Aga was brilliant, she responded to emails and queries almost immediately and even got involved with contacting our mortgage provider to get things sorted.

I would definitely recommend working with this company for your conveyancing needs, and if possible ask for Aga for a perfect service.

We have been using David Ebert/Ackroyd for over 20 years for numerous house purchases/sales. Ken and Aga are easy to communicate with and quick to respond to emails. We’ve never had any problems and will continue to use them in the future.

I have used Aga & Ken previously when buying a property and had great service so I returned to them when I was purchasing a new property and to sell my current property. The service was efficient and straight forward.
The only negative was if you tried to ring the office, you often wouldn’t get through or be told they couldn’t take your call. I found it much easier & quicker to send an email as Aga always responded in a timely manner.

The service you get is from a company who has taken on too much work, not enough staff to deal. That, with unproffesionalism and a general lack of any empathy for the stressful process conveyancing can be.

Three completion dates I was provided with, each time told that they had all of the paperwork, all other solicitirs were ready ( 2 others ) was in, to find that wasn't the case. Couldn't get hold of by email/phone a lot of the time- too busy and when I did speak to conveyancer, they were not on the ball as to what I was ringing about. Twice, I had to cancel removals twice.

I would be promised critical paperwork to sign by a certain day, no paperwork, upon chasing to find conveyancer on AL.
I have have moved house a lot in 20 years, I have never come across such shockingly poor service.

Absolutely avoid this company!! If you want a smooth process.

Exchange and Completion is DONE! what an amazing turnaroud and a great team work, I would like to thank Kiran Sandhu and Angela Stallard at Ackroyd Legals to pull through the most time consuming and an impossible task possible in just 10 days. secretly, I was anxious and had no hope it will meet the deadline but Kiran, so focused managed to complete the whole process efficiently. Angela was so patience and cool as cucumber. Once again thank you to Kiran and Angela to help complete the purchase of my property on Friday.

I am buying a second property and trusted David Ebert to carry out the conveyance. This was on the 21st July 2022 and so far I am on the 3rd solicitor with the other 2 walking out. I have phone the office on many occasions to be told Kiran is busy and can’t take my call and she will call me back this never happens, emails are never reply to, they have had the draft contact for over a month and have promised on 4 different dates to raise enquiries but this still hasn’t happened. I made official complaint through their own complaint’s system no reply, they have an app for your phone this doesn’t work or is not updated with my progress or documents. No one will give me a manager’s name.

We have used the services of Ken & Agnieszka for the second time now when buying and selling properties and they did not disappoint this second time either. In fact, they exceeded themselves and managed to arrange for us to exchange within 10 weeks from opening our files. Throughout the process they were very professional and helpful as always, and were fully aware of what is happening everywhere in the chain, we could not be happier with the service we have received. I used them as conveyancers for the purchase of my property and won't recommend them at all. They mindlessly ask their clients to take indemnity policies costing several hundred pounds even when they are not needed and no other conveyancers asks for them. My case involved gifted money from my parents and they asked me to take Insolvency Act Indemnity policy costing £365 plus £50 legal fees in addition to the quoted fee earlier. Having spoken to other solicitors, I was told that this policy is wholly unnecessary and there are provisions in the law that automatically protects the lender against. When I challenged them, they backed down but it cause me unwanted stress during the conveyancing period as it's a lot of money to part with. Later on they asked me to take another indemnity policy for Missing Information in the title deeds when this was not needed as well as the seller told me that his solicitors had not asked him to take it when he bought the property. However, the seller was willing to reimburse me for this, so I am not unhappy but this does raise questions about their competence and trustworthiness!

After the contracts were exchanged and change in their staff, their services went downhill with no replies to emails until you ring and chase them several times. There were constant errors in the invoices they sent.

Don't give your business to these people unless you want a lot of headache and stress while dealing with incompetent staff at the same time!!

Great service, couldn’t have been happier with the conveyancer we were assigned through a broker, it was a shame she left the firm but she got the job done in great time.

Constant errors made in communication including sending us the name and address of another seller! There was just too many errors to list and it added to the stress having to check everything they did and constantly chase them up. They took over 4 weeks to write a simple Statutory Declaration and even once the sale had gone through, got the final invoice wrong and we didn't get the money till the following day! I would say avoid like the plague.

Ken and Agnieszka carried out the sale of house and purchase of our new house. We are happy with their services. They guided us through the procedure, and they were always responsive to everything we needed. We will definetly recomend their services.

Agnieszka and Ken have been absolutely fantastic in helping me to complete the purchase of my property. Communications have been clear and efficient, giving regular updates and promptly responding to queries.
