We’ve had a fantastic experience working with DataForSEO. The platform offers an extensive range of datasets and APIs, and we tested several of them against other well-known SEO services.
Overall, we found the richness and quality of the data to be highly competitive. Keyword data, local search data, DataForSEO Labs, and several other datasets were comparable to and in some cases even stronger than what we’ve seen from market-leading SEO platforms.
The main area where we noticed a difference was backlink coverage. Depending on the industry and dataset we tested, we observed roughly a 40–70% gap in backlink data compared with one of the leading SEO platforms.
That said, considering the breadth of APIs, quality of the data, flexibility, and overall experience, DataForSEO has been an excellent solution for us.
Strongly recommended. We’ve been very happy with the platform and our experience so far.

Great service for low price
Been using the API for keyword and backlink data on a couple of my own sites. The pay-as-you-go pricing is way cheaper than the big SEO tools, and the data has been solid so far. Docs are decent too, had it hooked up in an afternoon. I would recommend if you're a dev and don't need a fancy dashboard.

I paid $50
I paid $50, and they still haven't even credited the payment to my account. They're asking me to wait 3 days while they investigate the issue. This is extremely unprofessional service.

We had been using SEMRush but the costs kept rising!
We had been using SEMRush but the costs keep going up and up. I was introduced to DataForSEO by a friend who said he had built MCP to do everyithing SEMRush does!
Happy to say it has worked and SUPER cost effective. Really happy

The dataforseo is a comprehensive tool that covers LLM citations , keyword gaps , Specific questions and answers from LLM perspective etc but it is costly as compared to competitors . Brightdata charges $1.5 for 1000 LLM queries you guys charge $4 this is way beyond. Similarly for SEO queries site:example.com you are way costlier than Brigthdata . Overall experience has been superb but you need to check your Pricing
