This is a company I would highly recommend.
I stumbled upon Dark Horse while hunting for groomsmen gifts for my wedding. I had considered all the usual stuff from cufflinks to hip flasks, but was not inspired.
Although i had never heard of them, I was taken by the idea of Dark Horse's handmade leather toiletry travel bags.
I emailed the company to inquire about delivery times and shipping expenses (Dark Horse is located in Cape Town, South Africa; I live in Switzerland and I wanted the bags delivered to the best man in Germany). Within the same day the owner Jarrad had mailed me back and assured me that the product could be made and shipped in time.
After shipping Jarrad kept me and my best man up to speed on the orders progress and within 10 days the bags were safely through customs and delivered.
The bags themselves are great, excellent quality leather and seemingly excellent craftsmanship, I wanted something unique that would last and I am pretty sure these will do the trick.
Companies like Dark Horse make shopping online a pleasure and deserve to succeed. Socially responsible, hand crafted gifts from Cape Town, crafted, shipped and delivered half way round the world in a week... At or below the cost of locally sourced mass produced stuff. Excellent.
