Reassuring and patient

This was my first experience using Curamcare. The staff were so helpful, reassuring, thoughtful and patient. We found a lovely carer for my father who I could not fault. If we need a carer in the future we will definitely return to Curamcare.

Love Curam,
I am a registered carer on the Curam platform and have been working with various clients on and off platform, have been registered with other platforms but by far this is genuinely one of the best ways to bring carers and clients together. The website has undergone a huge upgrade and it is a lot more better than it used to be, some issues are still there to work on but in general Curam is way to go forward if you're looking for carers or clients. Thank you! ☆☆☆☆☆

Micro providers in your area

I would strongly advise carers and clients to think carefully before using Curam.

As an experienced carer with excellent reviews from my clients, I was disappointed by the way Curam operates. Not only do they charge clients a significant amount, but they also deduct fees from carers’ earnings—meaning both sides lose out financially.

Support for carers is practically non-existent. I found their tone and communication to be consistently unprofessional and, at times, rude. The pressure to respond instantly to enquiries is unrealistic, especially when you’re already caring for other clients. Despite doing my best to respond to messages promptly, I was frequently bombarded with follow-up calls, emails, and messages from Curam—often within hours. It felt less like support and more like harassment.

Most recently, I had several clients reach out via the platform. I responded to each of them, including one inquiry about holiday cover. I explained that I would be in touch once I’d checked my existing schedule. Despite this, I was told I had not replied, and my account was closed without further discussion. This was not only frustrating but entirely unfair.

If you’re looking for high-quality care or working as a carer yourself, I would strongly recommend going through trusted micro-providers in your local area instead. You’ll likely get better communication, fairer fees, and genuine support.

We appreciate all feedback about the Curam platform. Curam charges clients and Care Professionals the lowest fees in the sector allowing us to continue to help and support both clients and Curam Care Professionals. Curam gives clients choice and control over who cares for them and gives Care Professionals control over their schedule and finances, all for the low fee of 15%, which is much lower than Care Agency rates that can be up to 50%. It can be a stressful time for clients when they are looking for a Care Professional to support them, so Curam takes an active approach asking Care Professionals if they can assist once a message isn’t replied to, this is for safeguarding reasons as well as giving us the option to help a client find support if a Care Professional isn’t available. At Curam we want both our clients and all our Care Professionals to feel supported, if you feel that there is a better way for us to do this, please do get in contact with our support team. A great platform.

I have found some great clients on the platform. Some of which still keep in contact with me. For one to get clients, it is a competition. As you have to stand out and have to get on top of your training.
Sometimes things get be a little upsetting especially when you have made a mistake. However, overall it is a great platform to find new clients and payments are always on time.

I would highly recommend Curam for providing care professionals who have had all checks done, ID confirmed and references checked. I have been using Curam for over 18 months now, very professional Company helping us find care for our loved one's without the stress.

The idea here is excellent

The idea here is excellent, it is well designed and wonderful idea, proper vetted and managed carers can register and you can see they are checked which is very important to vulnerable clients. All payroll and bills are dealt with by the platform also a huge help. I just wish there were more carers registered on the site with availabilities in my area. Interests from 15 or more miles away for anything beyond live in care is good to see, but not practical in real terms with the costs of traveling.
I have been registering care needed posts for a few years now.

My Carer

My Carer, Scholastic, was an absolute dream. From the moment we met i knew she was full of care. Calm, experienced, knowledgeable and just got on with the job. And what a great job she did. She lived in for a week, the house was perfect, dad was perfect, showered, shaven and taken care of like one of Scholastic own family.
Thank you Schola and thank you Curam Care, you delivered a perfect job and I can't thank you enough.

Very Thoughtful

We were looking for care for my mum

We were looking for care for my mum, (who lives in a remote area which I found a challenge). we looked at several care agencies and the set up just didn't feel right for several reasons. Then I came across curam. It was all new to me, I put out a post and had several responses, we were able to get to know the carers, meet and talk to them about mums needs in order to find a good personality match for mum. We are so happy with our carer, she has been amazing and has become part of our family. Curam is a brilliant way to find carers, highly recommended

Unprofessional carers and non-existent customer support

I had a poor experience with Curam Care. Be aware, that they take no responsibility for the work of the carers. Despite you are paying them, they claim to be an introductory company and in case issue arise they will give no support. I went to Curam hoping to find a reliable carer during my respite holiday. I was let down by two carers few days before my departure with no explanation. The next carer I hired charged me extra for costs beyond our agreement on top of highly expensive rates. My holiday became instantly a nightmare, having to call Citizen Advise for legal help and collecting evidence of the unlawful money requests. If you want peace of mind, I recommend using a care agency instead. If something goes wrong, you will have to deal with it by your own.

The contractual agreement exists directly between you the client and the self-employed Care Professional. It is a mutually agreed contract between you and your chosen Care Professional.

The agreement allows you the client and the Care Professional to specify the Services to be provided, any Health Procedures if they are required and any Special items if required.

Curam is not party to, nor does it specify the service items in any Service Agreement. The responsibility for the care to be provided and the arrangement for providing it is between the client and the care professional.

While we are not a party to any agreement, we are always here to offer guidance and support where needed.

Based on our understanding, the live-in Curam Care Professional you engaged was unable to take breaks outside the home and was required to assist the care recipient multiple times throughout the night. As a result, she was working significantly beyond the standard expectation of 12 hours per day with a 2-hour break. In such circumstances, Care Professionals are entitled to request additional compensation to reflect the extended hours and intensity of care provided.

Happy and positive

I have used Curam as my platform to advertise being a self employed carer. The fact I get to pick who I work with and where I work means I am in control.
All clients I have been fortunate to work with have all been so nice and their families very welcoming. I have done daily care, overnight care and live in care. All have been positive experiences.
I had the privilege of accompanying a client on a 5 day Norwegian Fjords Cruise. That was amazing.
Best decision I ever made was to advertise via Curam.
Would definitely recommend using their platform.

Really efficient service
