Ct. Bids fort Collins is dishonest when It comes to shipping. an item I bought was small and lightweight made of metal. They are charging me over $30 to ship. For this item should be no more than $15

CT Bids of Ventura County received payment for goods and NEVER shipped. I was promised a refund, never received it. The CT Bids costumer service told they couldn't help because they can not control their franchises.
Ctbids.com franchisee in Las Vegas is useless
Please do not sign a contract with the services of CT bids SW Las Vegas Julian Conradson as you will NEVER net the promised 60% proceeds from your sale as they double dip on the set up fees. They won’t tell you this but it’s what their contact says. They are very unprofessional and left our home in a huge mess in the end. They sold over $11,000 and sent a check for less than $2500.

I had bid on a couple antique German books from a current sale and was suspended with no reason. My proxy was 30 on one book and I was cut off while the bid was at 10. The items have since disappeared from my bid list also. I haven't dealt with these auctioneers at any other time previously. I've been suspended only once on another estate sale where the item was also an antique, when I first opened my account, which leads me to believe they have a few outside bidders working parallel while they cut others off. I had just received a package from another auction a week ago so I know my account is in good standing. These sellers are crooked and untrustworthy. I will not bid at their auctions from here on, knowing they save the antiques to hoard for themselves. The book that my proxy was 30 sold for 25.25. Go figure!

I absolutely loved all the ladies helping to ensure you got your items and not taking something that didn't belong to you. They must have had over 10 people working to help the buyers. I was amazed. Great experience and will definitely make future bids with this particular seller.
If you want sports collectibles, RUN AWAY
Unless you are willing to go pick some decent furniture… it is NOT WORTH IT. They squeeze every dollar out of every collectible with their ridiculous reserve prices. The worst you can buy is sports collectibles. “Oh look, a large bulk of cards”…. They don’t tell you every card is garbage and they’ve “cherry picked” even the halfway decent cards. Then they charge you a ridiculous amount to ship garbage. Run away fast if you haven’t purchased anything
All coins had been cleaned/retaliatory ban.
Sold me $5,700 of coins marketed as Uncirculated. NGC graded them all as 'Cleaned.' When I provided the NGC proof, they banned me from bidding on all future auctions rather than issuing a refund. Buyers beware.

Stole almost $300 from me. Won a particular lot, was charged immediately, and the company ghosted me, without my items, without my money, without any response, without any refund or reason…Completely unreal, I’ve never had a company just outright steal and then just not respond or correct anything! Insane, don’t buy from any Arizona location. Corporate was unhelpful and unable to get the pcs of shyt to respond or take care of anything. Just garbage people, hope they rot in H*ll!
Run, run, run
I won the high for some ornaments. I bid $32 for the ornaments. Then I paid $12 for an additional ornament I did not bid on!! I also paid an extra 18% fee for their charge to seller. (Ive never before had to pay extra at other bidding sites for their fee for seller. It’s always been taken from the initial sale.). So now I’m up to $51.00
I did want shipping and inquired why that wasn’t a charge. Was told that was done by an outside vendor and I will be charged that separately. Which they did to the tune of $57 in shipping fees. $42 for shipping and $15 for handling fees. So $57 for items that total weigh less than 4 pounds. Their excuse was postage fees have gone up recently. What a scam!!! In total I end up paying over $90 for $32 winning bid of four ornaments.
This place is out of Elk City, Oklahoma.
They are horrible people and I wish I could sue their ass for theft.
Shipping and Handling is Out of Line
I purchased items from Ctbids Madison on Oct 9. I sent several emails regarding the shipping and did not hear back from them until Nov 5. The Shipping was two times the cost of the auction and when I asked to just donate the items I was told that by doing this my bidding privileges even though I paid for the items. There was no breakdown on shipping vs handling nor do I know what carrier was being used for shipping but prior experience tells me it is not done with the most economical carrier. I am glad my privileges are suspended as the costs do not justify the purchases.

I have waited almost a month to receive my items. I live in Illinois and the site was in Indiana. I wrote to the main office, surprise, surprise I finally get an invoice for shipping. Still hasn't shipped. By the time I receive it, it will be over a month. I called the franchisee, she always said she will call back, never does. Terrible customer service.

I have made many numerous purchases from several ct bids franchises over the years and have been completely happy.
My last purchase has been disastrous. Purchased over 500.00 in items after. Paid same day for item as sent a bill. Then was notified I had a “shipping and handling fee” which I authorized. They noted in contract that if you don’t pay, you will suffer with delayed billing. I called to pay, no response to message, call National number. I was concerned. I received no response for a couple of days but received a bill receipt for paid shipping and handling. . Now I receive a call from ups for another shipping fee.
I am appalled, mad and disappointed. It cost me 125.00 for shipping handling.
I am not saying all of ct bids franchises are bad, but if you have a problem they ignore you, they scam you on shipping and handling . Both national and franchise are nothing but answering service. No assistance. I will never purchase from the northern Arizona franchise again, and if you’re smart, you will not either. It will cost you way more than bids. It costs peace of mind and time and frustration. Very unprofessional business model and lack of customer support!!!
Item was blatantly mis-represented
Item was blatantly mis-represented. I believe if they had stated what it actually was it would not have received any bids, let alone get up to $150. I don't think they mis-represented it on purpose but they were completely unwilling to help out with this. I now have a $150 ice auger (instead of post hole) in South Carolina. Couldn't give it away if I tried.
Do not do business with this location
I have spent thousands of dollars with many CT Bids locations and the Bevery Hills location and the owner, Jessica Isham, is far the worst. She will cancel your winning bid at a whim if it's not convenient for her even though she chose the time. For 2 weeks she kept me hanging for a date and time for my pick-up to only tell me the morning of and I have plenty of "receipts" showing my 10+ emails and texts. Now, she has banned me from further purchases even though she created the issue. Her loss. Do not do business with this location and be prepared for your winning bid to be cancelled.
Unreliable support
I have spent over $15,000.00 on their auctions over the last year. Recently my ID was stolen so I had to have new credit cards issued. I called each auction area to manually pay for the remaining items I had won. Because I could not update my credit card on their website until I received a new one they banned me from bidding on anything from their auctions. .
I called to have them correct this and it has been a few days and no one will call me back or let me know whats going on.
My advise, if you want to bid online DONT USE Catbirds, finds a better site which I will be doing
They hate their customers
I was genuinely excited to discover CT Bids after a friend recommended it—especially as a newly single mom who just relocated to LA. I won a beautiful dining table, paid my invoice in full, and even arranged and paid for my own transport. My account shows no outstanding balance.
However, when I tried to bid again weeks later, I was unexpectedly told I was “suspended from this location.” I emailed and messaged customer service with no response. When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told there’s a $15 unpaid invoice from my only transaction—yet no such invoice has ever been visible in my account, nor was I notified.
I’m more than willing to pay a balance if it’s legitimately owed—but I need a way to see and settle it. Until then, I’m stuck, and the lack of communication has been frustrating. I hope they improve their systems and responsiveness, because the platform itself has so much potential.
BEWARE
BEWARE, It cost me $53.65 for a USPS priority medium flat rate box with NO insurance. The commercial cost for shipping this is $16.65 so they charged me $37 for handeling!
