These people cannot be trusted
These people cannot be trusted. I contacted Hunter Douglas, who in turn sent me to Creative Blinds. I have plantation shutters in my home and wanted to match them in one more room. No problem, they said. Designer came and all he talked about was paint color. White is white. No problem. Pay in full, over two grand, and then the installer will come to take proper measurements.
I paid in full and the installer came to measure. And to inform me that they cannot match my existing shutters at all. It will be a different material, and will not match.
Faced with the choice to cancel and eventually get a refund, and start all over looking for a reputable company, or just getting it done, I decided that maybe it didn't matter so much as this is for another room.
Installer returned two weeksish later with no call or appointment made. Just rang the bell one day. Had no idea he was coming. He installed the plantation shutters. They are cheap and flimsy. These are clearly an inferior product.
The GM called me to say that they have been around for many years and this is not how they do business. Really?! What, I just got lucky? In my experience this is how they do business. This is the only way they do business.
I thought Hunter Douglas was a reputable company. They should be ashamed of themselves referring anyone to Creative Blinds. If you want a good product and to know what you are buying before you buy it, call anyone else.
