Through the Counselling Directory, I came across Kellie High, a warm kind and easy to talk to therapist, which I believe is one of the hardest parts of seeking therapy, is finding someone that you can connect with and open up to easily, she absolutely made this possible even over a video call - I can’t recommend her enough, her kindness, knowledge and commitment to helping me through this time does not go unnoticed.

Nice and easy to use with a lot of different counsellors to look through and read what they have to say.

Karen Brown is nothing but professional and an absolute genious in her work. I have no idea how she did it but she has literally turned me around for the better. I now have self worth, am able to move forward and let go of issues that negatively impacted me and am flourishing in my new found person.

They company was helpful when I started but steadily each year, I got less clients referrals from this directory. They try to do more than help clients find a therapist and a therapist get referrals. This is the main reason I joined. They have really lost their sense of direction and they don't seem to care. They responded quite coldly to my concerns telling me I am free to leave the directory if I am not happy instead of trying to improve their original service, which should be to connect therapists and clients. They just don't seem to care as they have reported their business is growing. Why should they worry about individuals dissatisfaction. I am very disappointed and will take my business elsewhere. BACP directory is really helpful and still places focus on the sole purpose of a directory.

Would be nice to have an intorductory rate for the first few months whilst getting your business up and running, as its more money straight out the bank before anything is coming in.

The process of creating a profile on Counselling Directory was straight forward, and their website easy to navigate. The welcoming telephone call from Lucy of the Membership Department was a nice touch, followed by a very helpful email from her with guidance as to how to make the most of the membership and how to improve my profile to get maximum attention from perspective clients. As such, it was a rewarding experience, and I am most excited to be on the Directory.

The web page was clear and easy to use, until I got to the verification page, where I was asked to identify images with taxis. I was confused by the photos until I realised that they were of American street scenes, and I happen to know that American taxis are yellow, which is largely not the case in the UK (yet). Hence the 4 star rating

I lost my wife to ‘lynch syndrome’four years ago and councelling was helpful but too short and late,so still suffering from loss and isolation as doctors failed to offer my wife treatment soon enough to stop this desease ending her life! John CF.

Joining THE COUNSELLING directory has been one of the easiest sign ups. The team check in with you and even contact you when all checks have been done and they make your profile live. I have a friend who has been using them for a year now who recommended them to me.
