I would strongly advise equipping your mobile phone with a block number blocker, identifying the number blocks this company uses, and blocking all of them (believe it or not, there are a lot of them). Only by applying pressure can we stop the scam calls.

Risposta di Core Telecom
Hi Grace,
Thank you for reaching out. Core Telecom is a Global Telecoms network, we don't make any outbound calls. On checking with our network team we can see that this number is not currently assigned to any customer or connected and there have been no outbound calls through our network in the last 2 months. We believe the call you received has had the calling number spoofed (faked) to hide the true number making the call and not affiliated with Core Telecom in any way. We would suggest blocking the number in your handset to prevent any further calls. If you'd like to discuss this further, please do reach out to our info@coretelecom.co.uk team.
Thank you.

Looking at at the rest of the reviews (going on 6months now) this seems to be a continuing trend where this company say they have nothing to do with these spam calls and would like to "investigate" however if this wasn't genuinely them and is linked to a client they have a big issue - mainly internally as the can't seem to get this under control. I'd be interested to see these "investigations" and their outcomes considering they are doing a huge amount of damage to company reputation (apparently)

Hi Jennie,
Thank you for your review. Core Telecom IS genuinely not involved in any of these calls. The number 0131 218 7751 is not currently assigned or routed to any customer on our network - if you were to dial the number you would hear a message warning you that the number is not in use, but may have been spoofed if you received a call from it. Core Telecom takes all complaints very seriously and if you wanted to discuss the matter further please do reach out to our info@coretelecom.co.uk address.
Thank you.

Received a scam call from number…
Received a scam call from number 01184170731. I didnt answer the phone. Checked on "Who Called Me?" and this is what it came up with: (can there be two companies with the same registered name?).
"01184170731 is a landline number from Core Telecom in Reading. It has been reported 3 times as a scam. Most users identify it as fraud attempts through impersonation. Do not share personal information and consider reporting it to the ICO."
Having said that, I accidentally pressed "redial" and a recorded message started so I immediately terminated the call. I have since checked with my phone company who said the phone number is invalid. Maybe that's what the recorded message was saying.

Hi Philip,
Thank you for your review and bringing this case to our attention. Core Telecom is a Global Telecoms network, akin to BT, we do not tolerate any reports of number misuse. We have opened an investigation on your behalf and can see no outbound calls from our network from 01184170731 in the last two months - it appears this number has been spoofed (falsified) as a calling number. As a precaution we have quarantined the number for a period of no less than 6 months. Our team would appreciate any further details of calls you have received - if you could please email our info@coretelecom.co.uk address this will be added to the investigation.
Thanks you.

You are selling phone numbers to auto diallers. 0161 949 0921 is a number either owned by you or issued by you to a client who does nothing but auto dials. This is also why other reviews are calling you scammers. The fact you don’t realise this - or communicate that you don’t understand why people perceive you this way makes you idiots at best and completely disingenuous at worst. Might be worth reviewing this number and see if there are others used in the same way.

Risposta di Core Telecom
Hi Casper,
Our network team have investigated 0161 949 0921 and can confirm that the number is not assigned to any Core Telecom customer and is not currently in use on our network.
The most likely explanation is that the number has been spoofed - where a third party deliberately displays a telephone number they do not own or control when making calls. Unfortunately, the number shown on a recipient’s screen does not necessarily identify the network or organisation responsible for making the call.
We take reports of number misuse seriously and are always willing to investigate them. If you can please email our info@coretelecom.co.uk address with any further information relating to any calls you have received our team will get back to you.
We hope this clarification helps explain the situation.

We have worked with Core Telecom for many years, and their service and support have always been first-class. Having previously tried multiple large telecom suppliers, finding a company that treats you as an individual can be very difficult, which is crucial for a small business like ours. Core Telecom, in particular, Mike has always been there to offer guidance and support whenever we need it. This level of care is priceless when we rely so heavily on our phone system for business. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Many thanks to all the team at CT!
