What a BS site (a.k.a reviewguards.com), I filled out a perfect review for the Rep that signed me up for Select Home Warranty and entered more than the maximum required 150 characters, but when I hit submit, the system came back saying my review was not long enough, so I added my comment this is BS, I bet that never gets published

Sold my information immediately, I got six robocalls in a row, multiple texts, and emails. Don't trust this site with your email or phone number. It was not worth it.

Rude, obnoxious, and overcharging customers. Staff was dismissive and the experience felt borderline racist. Completely unprofessional. Do not recommend.

To verify you are a human, you have to click and hold a bar endless times. You can't actually do anything meaningful on the site, including making a review and an account.

Tax preparers have a difficult job and are often overburdened by the quantity of clients and time restraints for completing their tasks. That being said, expecting a tax preparer to perform their responsibilities in a timeframe they establish should be considered a reasonable expectation. Of course, unforeseen circumstances can arise requiring the tax preparer to extend timeframes for completing their work. However, quality tax professionals recognize the importance of communication with their clients when timeline extensions are needed and use this skill to keep their clients informed and up to date.

Unfortunately, Stephanie Ware with Arete Financial And Legal Solutions falls short in this relevant skill. Although she has received multiple positive reviews, she has also received multiple reviews showing a pattern of neglect and contempt for her clients. She repeatedly states she will perform tasks and provide phone calls or email replies within a specified timeframe without doing so. In 2025, she scheduled multiple appointments with me and never had the decency (at the very least) to have someone from her office call and reschedule when she determined she could not keep the appointment. I even sat down with Ted Ashton (one of the owners of Arete Financial And Legal Solutions) and showed him a packet of emails between Stephanie and myself documenting her lack of ability in handling (in a professional manner) my tax preparation. When he stated, “you’re not wrong”… and then proceeded to read the multiple reviews I shared showing her inability to satisfy multiple client’s tax preparation needs, an apology was all he was able to offer. He stated our discussion would hopefully help to improve the outcome of his business by improving deficiencies that currently exist.

Stephanie Ware is a “hit or miss” tax preparer. She has years of experience that comes with a chip on her shoulder. I am writing this review to help expose the public to “real time” factual experiences. I hope to help people avoid the same type of recurring problems Stephanie Ware makes while ensuring the public has reliable information to help make informed decisions about their personal tax preparation needs.

The review for Colonial Van Lines is completely inaccurate. This company is terrible and ConsumerAffairs clearly did no vetting or they were paid to give this company a glowing review.

I was looking for a car transport service to haul my truck from one state to another neighboring state. It asked me to put in the origin zip code and then the zip code to where it would be transported. It then asked me to put my email and phone number. Since then, this was in August, my phone had been nonstop texts and calls from random created phone numbers even after I tell them I no longer need their services. This is just the start with consumer affairs.
I finally opted to go with one of their suggestions with confidence thinking that consumer affairs backs this company they should be legit. NOPE!! As others have stated, consumer affairs is ONE BIG PAID FOR HIRE ADVERTISING AGENCY THAT SELLS YOUR DATA TO ANY GRIMY PERSON LOOKING TO STEAL MONEY FROM YOU. Which is what happened to me.
I signed a contract with a company that stated it would cost $475 to transport my truck from point A to point B. Signing the contract was a little shady the way he got the invoice to me and whatnot but I thought maybe this is the new way people are doing their contracts. The driver didn’t show up until the next day and did not confirm with me so I was left wondering what the hell happened and then was woken up super early in the morning when he finally showed up to pick up my truck. Then the other guy the broker said ok now time to pay deposit. I said well how do I know this guy is even going to show up with my truck, so he waived the deposit, for that moment. I put an apple tag in the truck just in case something funny happened. So I watched it and it looked like it was making its way to the destination which was my sisters house. About half way through its trip the driver starts texting me and calling me from all these different numbers demanding that I sign some paper that the broker emailed to me or he’s not taking my truck. In the mean time the broker starts telling me the same thing from also a bunch of different phone numbers. At this point I don’t know who I’m communicating with and I’m in the middle of driving through the grapevine which is hairy af and now the driver is threatening me that he is going to take my truck to a tow yard if I don’t sign some paper and pay. So I finally get through the grapevine and have to pull over to talk to these con artists that want me to sign a change order that the broker has now emailed me demanding that the driver will be paid in cash once the car is delivered. I’m on my way to my sisters where the car will be delivered but I’m about 13 hours behind the driver. So this driver who sounds like a terrorist is threatening to dump my truck off if I don’t pay him this amount of money that’s $1000 dollars more than I agreed to paying. And he’s headed towards my sisters house who has kids and I don’t k ow what this weird ripoff has in mind so I decide to pay him and now he’s demanding I pay him Venmo when I don’t even have a Venmo. At this point I’m screaming at him telling him this wasn’t the plan, this wasn’t in the contract you didn’t say this before I put my truck on your trailer. Total bait and switch maneuver that I was trying to avoid by using references from consumers affairs. They should be sued along with the shady car transport people from Glendale his name is Greg avion or something like that. DONT LET CONSUMER AFFAIRS SELL YOUR INFORMATION TO SHADY CROOKED CAR TRANSPORT PEOPLE !!

The response from BBB on ConsumersAffairs lacked transparency because they informed me that my review was not posted on Amazon due to its presence on other websites. I exercise caution in my online postings. While protecting Amazon's interests is understandable, I feel compelled to advise others to exercise caution when submitting reviews through ConsumerAffairs, as their actions suggest a biased approach.

Does not print most negative reviews. The have manipulatively refused all my negative reviews.
The way reviews are presented as 5 stars in the lead is suspicious, especially when one-star reviews are plenty. I find it a useless website.

Whenever I list a review on this web portal (and I tried more than 20 times!), the feedback I receive states either "in moderation", "not approved" or "awaiting response". This means NONE of my reviews make it on ConsumerAffairs website. I NEVER encountered these refusals on any other review site. I no longer will waste my time nor energy here...

6-26-25, I had the ATT cell service on iphone 16e for 9 days - HORRIBLE service - dropped calls, disconnects - I found myself saying: 'Can you hear me now?'  I returned the phone at 9 days ... THEN ... they refused to refund the sales tax and charged me a restocking fee! 'COMPANY POLICY' they said.

I regret switching to Telus. Internet is just okay — my old Shaw plan was more reliable. But the real nightmare is customer service.

After Telus bought Vivint, they couldn’t support my equipment or honour my plan when I needed to move. A mismanaged move led to billing errors, broken promises, and over $1,200 charged for equipment I never received. It took endless calls to reverse charges and fix mistakes. Promised credits never arrived, and refund attempts failed multiple times.

Even simple things like moving internet services between homes turned into a bureaucratic mess. Overall, a frustrating and exhausting experience. Avoid if you value your time and sanity.

In Las Vegas NV Choice Home Warranty claim representatives willfully denied me the right to select a competent HVAC vendor, Instead, they sent a subpar unknown HVAC company that was sent to write a bogus report so Choicewrite bogus could avoid paying for my HVAC replacement.

I really don’t think much needs to be said about this brand personally just look at the reviews they’ve taken advantage of so many people. I have a little story to tell with my experience with them while me to set my stage please I’m 68. I don’t know man United States, Marine Corps veteran, and I lost my hearing during that tour. I have long forgotten the elegance of a beautiful written sentence with proper grammar spelling this part of growing old deaf you lose your abilities, speak and you forget about how to use proper grammar and spelling, unfortunately and then you eventually should be just become where you can’t speak at All. I’m not really excited about outliving that. I become a very vocal individual when I feel I’ve been taking advantage because I’ve lived a very respectable life and I feel I have honor and character or least. I’m told that my stories real simple I put up honest reviews. I learned a long time ago that the truth It’s 100% to finish in a court of law in the United States of America so I speak my mind I truly try not to beat up on people I really do. I don’t say what I say to harm people. I say what I say hopefully that the company real I got a damn problem And they wanna truly fix it without blowing smoke up our fans and sitting in this fake paragraph after they sucked our credit card dry and we can’t stump them. We have to cancel our card and then we get labeled flagged as fraud and then it makes things very challenging. I’ve written several reviews. I relied on reviews posted on ConsumerAffairs.com to hire a moving company (United Regions Van Lines). Our experience with this moving company was terrible. The reviews on consumer affairs web site are highly positive, yet the reviews on BBB are highly negative. Why? Consumer Affairs web site in small print, says they “make money from our Authorized Partner Program. Partners pay us to help them gather reviews and attract customers. This may influence the companies we feature or the order in which they appear…..”. United Regions Van Lines pays ConsumerAffairs to attract customers!!! That’s why only positive reviews are highlighted! Extremely misleading and unethical. Come on man!!!!

Over the years it has been pretty much 'hit or miss' regarding what reviews will be posted and which ones won't. Overall, however, it seems that reviews that carry 1-star ratings may be less likely to appear and lately it appears that they may be doing something strange with existing accounts, wanting folks with established accounts to sign in by Google or Facebook. I didn't do that and then the button for 'submit' on the review page was 'grayed out' and didn't permit submitting the review. Something weird is going on there.

If you want to spoil not only your day, but also have consequences after buying a car, welcome Rapids Honda to Coon Rapids. Today I faced discrimination against myself. Perhaps because I am a woman, and my English is far from perfect. But you guys can't bully people because they can't defend themselves. After the last check of my car 2024 year of manufacture, an oil leak was detected. An advisor named Chad said that it was okay, and I could continue driving, leaving footprints in every parking space. But I scheduled an appointment to fix the problem. Chad's manager, his name is Shane, confirmed that this is not such a problem, I can continue to drive and put oil stains in all parking lots. When I asked for a car for rent, since mine was left with them for repair, they began to be rude to me, their behavior was stunningly unpleasant. Especially the behavior of the manager in front of his employees, he showed how to "correctly" treat customers. I was very worried, I felt dizzy, my heart hurt, and I asked how they could be so rude to their clients? To which I heard the answer that this is their usual tone of conversation. I asked the supervisor to talk to me and they told me that he was absent from work. And I went inside the large center and approached the first worker I came across. Later it turned out that worker was a supervisor. That is, they lied to me, looking me in the eyes! How can you trust such companies after that, whose employees are incompetent, who have not been taught to talk to customers, lie to people's eyes instead of learning to manage their emotions? What shocked me the most was when I burst into tears, even the supervisor left me in the middle of the hall among other clients and just went to his office. The manager Shane came to him, and they just mocked. Shane walked out of the office with a big smile, turning his head away from me. This is what is considered "normal".
