They did not respond to a good hand full of people who were interested in viewings, which I later found out when I left. The one viewing I had took the lady 3 weeks to organise with them. They barely respond to you as a seller, probably had about 2 replies until I wanted to leave. They do not pass any info on to your HA. I found out my ad wasnt even re-uploaded after an ‘IT blip’, so have no idea how long it was not being advertised for. As soon as I left i had a buyer within a week. Do not even waste your energy trying to chase, get a refund and leave.

Avoid at all possible costs!

After months of trying to sell my house with this company, we took to social media to get a response. Not only do they charge extortionate amounts once they have finally got the buyer after doing 0 work, they do not attend to do the viewing you have to do this yourself.

In January of this year, I tried to secure a viewing of a property on Rightmove. After 4 weeks, I still had not received a response and had to wait for the property to be listed privately. From there CM eventually tried to book an appointment, only to cancel because the seller couldn’t make it. This happened three times, until I messaged the seller direct to arrange without CM.

Fast forward to now, and I have withdrawn from the sale in no small part because of CMs incompetence. I had to chase throughout February, March and April to get confirmation that the property was still for sale after the viewing and to have my paperwork sent to the HA. By June, the house still was not reserved to me. It later transpired that CM had not sent all the paperwork - namely the SO calculations.

Fast forward to now (October) and I have withdrawn from the purchase in no small part because of the incompetence of CM and the HA. I tried on numerous occasions to chase and receive an update from Jen and CM, but she was always busy, always on a call or always about to ring me back. Day after day on multiple occasions I awaited for this return call. They never materialised.

In the end, I sent an ultimatum that less a detailed update or change in purchase be agreed, I would withdraw. After a month long wait I finally withdrew.

Please avoid this company. If your HA partners with them, do all you can to push the sale through or demand an alternative. CM are lazy, incompetent and useless. I’d rather bang my head against a brick wall (won’t be a house they market) than ever talk to these people again.

I sold and purchased a Shared Ownership property with Complete Moves, I found the team to be knowledgeable, helpful and polite. I've completed on my sale and have moved into another larger Shared Ownership property that was being marketed by Complete Moves. They made the process of buying and selling really easy, offering guidance and support. Thank you for all your help during a stressful period.

I'd like to thank the team at Complete Moves for matching me with my new property. I dealt with Chris, Michelle and Jen who not only were friendly and professional but also advocated for me after listening to my story.

The team, although busy, answered my calls and texts efficiently and when I asked them to follow up on things, this was done quickly.

If I could give zero stars I would. I truly don’t know where to start with this company. The 8-10 weeks I had to spend dealing with them was the most frustrating, upsetting, and difficult experience I’ve encountered in a long time.

To briefly summarise I was selling my shared ownership property, and Complete Moves is whom my housing association ‘partnered’ with (they are not partners, they are the same company ran by the same people – first red flag!) I had to spend 8 weeks selling my property with CM throughout my ‘nomination period’ and experienced the following issues:

1 – From the get-go I had issues getting my property listed. I was told it would be live in 5 working days, it took nearly double this after my repeated chasing. This stemmed from CM not chasing the photographer for the photos and floorplan and questioned whether they’d even been (they most certainly had).

2 – When my property did go live, I discovered the description had errors in which I raised with CM. I was informed that they’d been fixed, and the listing would be updated in 24 hours. Even after the 8 weeks the listing was still incorrect.

3 – I shared the property on local social media sites and was inundated with interest from many people. They followed the process of registering their interest on CM’s website and received no response. I had several people message me asking if I was still selling etc as they had heard nothing. I tried raising this with CM who claimed there had been little interest etc. Most of the people I spoke to gave up in the end trying to view my property. I also asked a couple of my friends to pretend to be interested in my property to see what sort of feedback they received, and they had absolutely no contact after chasing via telephone and email. The only response they got was informing them my property had been removed for sale upon me listing with another estate agent as soon as I was able to.

4 – In the 8-week nomination period I had one viewing which took the interested buyer 4 weeks to get arranged. Again, they had chased and chased CM for info and availability to no avail. When it came to a point of booking a viewing CM completely ignored my availability and booked the viewing in for a time and date I couldn’t do. To save the hassle of rearranging my neighbour very kindly let them in to have a look.

5 – Upon speaking to the person who viewed my property they had explained in detail the issues they had with CM in trying to obtain information about my property. CM moves told them my property was being rented out! Why on earth they would tell them that I have no idea.

6 – After my interested buyer viewed, CM did not bother to ask for any feedback on the viewing and whether they wished to purchase. To me this is ridiculous as it should have been a priority phone call on the Monday after the viewing had taken place. It took nearly a week for CM to ask the viewer for any feedback after I complained about this to my HA.

7 – The viewer expressed their disappointment in the service they had received from CM who laughed at them making a complaint and said there were only four colleagues looking after 40 plus houses each, openly admitting the workload was unmanageable.

8 – Throughout all this, getting any responses or updates from CM was very hard work and after complaining to my HA I was promised I would be made a ‘priority case’. This was fruitless as the person dealing with my sale at the HA also works for CM so really nothing was escalated.

As soon as my 8-week nomination period was up I moved to another estate agent straight away and my property had a sale agreed in less than a week. I think that speaks volumes. CM were not interested in selling my property whatsoever. The only time they were ever proactive was when asking for money.

If your HA works with this organisation to market your home, and I cannot stress this enough, please ask them to use your own agent and save yourself the stress and upset I went through. Complete Moves are utter cowboys and should be ashamed of how they treat their customers.

I found the company to be very professional, had more than one viewing over a few developments and throughout the process they were helpful. I would recommend their service.

Terrible company. They don’t get back to you at all.. they always say they’re going to - please give 72hrs … well I’ve been trying for nearly two weeks, rung three times.. nothing back. DO NOT USE! especially if you’re wanting to sell your property.. they’re not going to do it for you that’s for sure!

This was the review before they finally got in touch - and actually the case is still ongoing so their reply doesn’t match on what’s going on.. it’s just a generic one - so great one trying to make me look silly for writing this review…

I’m a buyer and have been trying to view a property. I have emailed several times and called many times over the last 2-3 weeks. All they do is say they’ll get back to you, but not once have I heard from them. Anyone selling with this company is missing out on business. I’d give zero stars if I could.
