Cliff notes was hard to access. I had to keep contacting Customer Service. When it seemed as though it wasn’t working, I asked for a refund. Cliff Notes has a no refund policy. I wasn’t informed of that initially. What I was looking for was supposed to be found on cliff notes, but I could not access it. It’s a worksheet. I need it for a group I’m conducting.
Anyone who wants to use cliff notes I want you to know that there is a no refund policy that they don’t tell you about. I’m going to use my service because I pay for it for a year. So it won’t be a total loss, but I was not able to access the worksheets I needed.

I subscribed to CliffsNotes to get correct answers for exam preparation. The questions were visible for free, but the answers were only available after payment. I paid for the subscription expecting accurate explanations, but the answer I received for a specific scenario was incorrect.
Because of this incorrect answer, I received a low grade in my course, which affected my academic performance. There is also no way to leave a public review on the site itself, which makes it impossible to warn other students.
This service is misleading and looks like a money-making model where users pay for answers that are not verified. I do not recommend using CliffsNotes for exam preparation.

I’m disappointed with CliffsNotes due to the amount of spam and non-academic content appearing on the platform.

While searching for legitimate study material, I repeatedly encountered pages promoting the sale of “verified” financial and cryptocurrency accounts (PayPal, Coinbase, Cash App, Binance, Wise, Revolut, etc.). These pages often include WhatsApp numbers, Telegram usernames, and sales-style language that has nothing to do with education.

This content feels mass-generated, poorly moderated, and completely misaligned with what users expect from an academic help site. Beyond being misleading, it potentially exposes users to scams or unsafe financial practices.

For a platform with CliffsNotes’ reputation, the lack of effective content moderation is concerning. I would strongly advise students and educators to be cautious, and I hope the company takes action to clean up spam and enforce stricter publishing controls.

Until this issue is addressed, I can’t recommend the platform.

This is a fraudulent website. Pls don’t waste your money on the subscription. I subscribed for help with my child’s homework. To my shock I found that the response to the homework questions was actually in Latin and some placeholder instead of the actual answer. I reached out to the customer service for clarification and they responded that it’s not their problem. Stay away.

Refusal to refund when contacted on the same day of the renewal charge. The refund request process took over a week, involving multiple emails, all of which resulted in the end with a cookie-cutter refusal. Their services were not helpful originally, so I had not used them for over ten months. After receiving the charge I found the renewal email and all subsequent email responses in my spam folder, so be cautious of email interactions as well. Save your time and money by working with a better company!!!

Save your money - the material is terrible.

The hidden "expert" answer I had to pay a monthly subscription to see was a load of lorem ipsum placeholder text.

No refunds and no option to report the "expert" answer as not a solution.

Pure money grab.
