I have been working with them for years…
I have been working with them for years now. An exceptional team of professionals, the managers and business owners are experts in what they do.
Sometimes I felt that they are slow but I realized that they always triple checked before giving their expert opinion, they even bring/consult core experts in many cases. Which perfectly suits the industry in which they work.

Thank you! Our return reviewers are Enrolled Agents with the IRS, the highest credential earned. We look at returns as the IRS would. It takes more time, but of fast, cheap or good, you can only have two out of the three. Integrity is our first core value.
I'll never use Cleer Tax again
I'll never use Cleer Tax again. They're slow and unprofessional.
Here's my case:
1. The guy is selling me to file BE-12 even though I told him I'm not a foreign person according to IRS (I hold a Green Card and own the majority of my company)
2. I first contacted Cleer in early February, and a week later, they responded with a questionnaire link that I filled out during payment. I had to fill it out again. Then again, it took them two other weeks to finally accept my financial statements, and it's been another week and a half, and yet my taxes are not ready yet.
Worst service ever. They should not be partners of Stripe. I will not recommend them to any of my colleague entrepreneurs.

To respond to CleerTax'es response, here's the clarification: it took an entire week for your staff to provide me access to the Box where I could put my financial statements. Also, you missed the initial questionnaire I completed while purchasing the tax prep package, so I had to fill it out again. Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'll be happier with any other accountant. I decided to give an update on this case. It's March 31st, and my tax accountant hasn't contacted me since March 14. I had to file a support ticket, and they replaced that accountant with someone else. Looks like it's time to find a backup plan. Cleer Tax, your service is just below anything that I could imagine.

Hello Andrii - We apologize you felt our service was slow. You purchased your return on 2/14, but did not provide your financial statements until a week later - which is when we begin. This review was left two weeks after that, so if the expectation was not set that the preparation would be done three weeks after we have all your information, that was an error on our part. The six weeks before the April deadline is our busiest time of year. Best wishes with your new accountant.
Straightforward US taxes for a non-US resident
I have been using GBS/cleer.tax for the last three years now, for a US C Corp. I have been very happy with them. They collect the required info in a straightforward way, take note of it, and complete and file the relevant IRS forms in a timely fashion. I also used their tax advisory service one time, which I found very helpful and reasonably priced. I intend to stay a customer for as long as they offer the yearly filing service as a standalone product.

Bad for startups
Dropped the ball big style and then abandoned as a customer, with fines that ensue. As part of a Tier 1 Accelerator, these guys were awful at every stage. Strongly advise you not to use, ever. So bad. 20 years of tech startup experience we've never had an experience so bad.

We understand that people do not like paying tax. We really do. But IRS filing compliance is what we do, and we are not willing to file a return for a client refusing to file because they said they shouldn't owe tax on a foreign subsidiary when the law is clear. Wasted hundreds of hours of company time. Refunding them the cost of the service for refusing to file correctly was the only path forward here. They can find someone else who will break the law for a "Tier 1 Accelerator". We're not sell outs, we're tax accountants, and the person reviewing the return is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.
p.s. Client was also abusive to team members even writing, "can't you count?".
