You have got to read every sentence. If you will look closely at the transaction overview you find that once your 60 days has passed you will then be charged monthly $169.00. And this is mentioned NO WHERE except in this one very small almost hidden icon.
As well if you do not opt out you will be charged another monthly fee of $19.90 for being automatic signed up for their health club.
I was so interested in this and began the process of purchasing but I do read everything and that’s when I caught this. After finding these two things in extremely small print I felt that it’s just deception. Hiding your true price and that it’s a monthly charge your signing for again I find deceptive. And as interested as I was I will not fall into a trap. It may be very easy to cancel or it may be extremely difficult to get someone to answer. Promises of no hassle cancellation is easy to write. But actually answering and doing this maybe very different. And that is something I can’t bring myself to take a chance with.
Beware!!!
I received an offer to try the product for $9.99. I received a bill for $169.00.I have now discovered that you company is a scam. Refund my #169,00 for account #5587582. Patricia Byrum, 116 River Estate Dr, Colbert Ga 30628
On Aug. 10,2023 I placed what I thought was a one time order for $9.99 so that I could try their product.
Unknown to me at the time, CLEANERSMILES.COM had set up a plan for future automatic shipments and charges to my credit card.
Once I realized the deception, I immediately contacted the company requesting not only a refund for products I had yet to receive but to cancel any and all “orders”.
I cannot be certain my experience is for this company. I responded to a YouTube ad because the product looked amazing. It was set up such that I used my debit card which I thought was for the full price. However, it was apparently due to be charged after it was shipped. I was careless documenting my transaction as the Amazon review for a product of the same name indicated it was legit. Since I provided my bank card at the onset I was surprised to get a ping from my bank asking to verify the purchase as it appeared to be fraudulent. I ignored that first email but when the second such bank notice came in referencing a different company, I called the number on the collection email where it was explained that payment was billed at the time it was shipped, so I considered it legit and gave the bank permission to pay that expense.
I then got another collection email from yet another named company and explained to the rep that I had authorized payment.
After yet another collection email I contacted my bank and they canceled my card. I could not find proof that payment had been made, and to be sure to square things away so I again called the number on the collection email and said as much to that rep. She asked if there was another card I could use so I used one from a different bank. While I was the phone, the rep said that number was also declined, she made another attempt with the same result. That bank had closed that account completely and when I called and explained everything to the bank agent and they agreed to reopen the account temporarily since the collection agent said she would keep trying throughout the afternoon. I couldn’t be without a debit card pending receipt of my first bank’s replacement card. By the time that card arrived I had received yet another collection email under yet another company name. The agent said they still had not been able to process my payment. My card was working elsewhere so I told her since two different banks had identified the company as fraudulent I was not going to provide any other bank information and would bring countervlegal action against them if they took action for nonpayment since I had made good faith efforts to settle their claim. They agreed they would close my account and I would receive no further collection emails. So far that has now been the case.
Per the guidelines for reviewers, I believe I am writing this within your expectations.
I receive illegal Spam emails from this company (Cleaner Smile) regularly, two today. Per the US Can-Spam Act, it's illegal to send email marketing to individuals without permission. The fine issued per individual illegal email sent is over $43K per occurrence.
The law is clear; product marketers, even those using a third-party marketing agency, need to comply.
This company is purposely deceptive, which makes one ask questions about the authenticity of its products.
I have a screen capture of the email address from these email messages. If they were an honest company, in my opinion, they would not use a randomly generated email address for EVERY email sent, and it would be from their company. They send messages with a random address so one cannot block future emails, which prevents recipients from automatically forwarding spam to their junk email folder. I believe this speaks enough about their intent to be a legitimate sender.
They will ask that I use the unsubscribe tool; however, it's known in the industry that one's email address only becomes more valuable once confirmed using the tool. The marketing company might not send me an email regarding the unsubscribed product; however, they will sell my verified email address in multiples.
I am not asking for much.
Be a good company, respect individual customers' wishes, privacy, and do not be deceptive, etc., and obey federal laws that protect consumers.
