This is a well organised large store. Ellie and Hemi was so lovely and patient in helping me choose the correct shoe for work and sizing with their suggestions and opinions when I asked them for help - 10/10 from me!

Great expereince in-store this evening with sales associate Trey at the Westfield Stratford store. He was comfortable and competent measuring my daughters feet. When I mentioned i felt Clarks school shoes might be out of my budget, Trey proved me wrong. He presented an affordable option with shoe care to match. His intuiative sales eye also talked me through the new womens wear range. His ability to upsell, present options, and showcase products was impressive. He also made the payment process seamless with a handheld device for payment. Overall, best expereince I've had in Clarks for years! Customer service at its finest!

Rabbia was a wonderful attentive sales assistant, she looked after her son and was extremely patient as he rearranged the entire shoe store.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience at the Clarks store in Westfield Stratford today.

I was there with my baby looking for rain boots and had already been to quite a few shops before stopping in. A staff member called TREY measured my baby’s feet and brought out a pair of boots. I asked the price and was told £26.

Before my baby tried them on, he handed me a disinfectant spray and asked me to spray the boots. At no point did he say there was a charge, and there was no price label on the bottle either.

After trying them on, I said I wanted to have a look around a few other shops before deciding. At that point Trey suddenly asked me to pay £6 for using the spray.

If something isn’t free, that needs to be made clear beforehand. I obviously wouldn’t have used it if I’d known there was a charge.

When I questioned it, he insisted he’d already told me, which simply wasn’t true. A few other staff members came over (possibly including a manager) but they just backed him up rather than properly dealing with the situation.

Left feeling quite uncomfortable, especially being there with a baby. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend shopping at this store. Customers should be careful to check any charges before using anything..

PS. Not a great look for a brand like Clarks.

The price was quoted as £26, not £20 for the boots plus £6 for a spray. We never asked for any add-ons. That made it sound like the boots were £26, which is exactly why the situation felt misleading.

After we tried the shoes, he was already holding the card machine and repeatedly asking us to pay. That puts customers in a very awkward position where it feels like you’re being pressured into buying something.

This is not about whether Trey is helpful or polite.

The real issue is whether a chargeable product was added without clear consent. If a customer begins using a product without realising there is a charge, staff should clarify immediately, not wait until payment stage. That is basic transparency.

I hope the company carefully reviews this situation to ensure proper communication and to protect customer trust, rather than simply responding with positive comments on review pages.

Came to buy my son’s first shoes and helped by Hemi at the Stratford store. She was incredibly patient and helpful. Thank you for making it a special experience.

Hemi served us today. We came in for my 1 year olds first shoes. She has a vast amount of knowledge in children’s feet and shoe wear.

She was able to tell us he has a slight tilt on his left foot and was able to give us the ideal shoe for him.

The level of care and service was exceptional. I haven’t received this level of service in many many years. Hemi has made us a customer for life here as the service was amazing

Hemi was very helpful and explained the best fit shoes for my toddler. She made sure the shoes he tried on were to his needs by watching the way he stood and walked. She also gave lots of information in regards to the size of his feet and what kind of shoes to look out for. I was happy with the experience that was provided from Hemi.
