I ordered several sizes of school shoes online. The wide didn’t seem wider and the shoes were generally small for a kid with fatter feet. And then I went to return them to a local store but it was closed. So I drove to a second store mentioned on the website which was also closed. I then had to pay £2.50 per order to return on top of miles of petrol. You website needs to be updated.

However, please note that purchases from our Outlet website can only be returned for free via our returns portal, and cannot be returned into any of our retail stores.

A pleasant experience
I have a real problem in getting shoes which are a comfortable fit and this often means trying on several sizes which can mean multiple visits to the stockroom - which in the case of Clarks in Saffron Walden meant going upstairs. Sophie was very helpful and made multiple trips with no change in her very pleasant approach and this made the whole experience a pleasure- so much so that I bought 2 pairs instead of the intended 1 !
