Mislead to buy wrong size shoes

They told me the wrong size shoe to wear, I paid £75, for the wrong size shoe, I wore it not knowing that it’s the wrong pair, then I am told it cannot be refunded, I really don’t have £75 to lose, so thank you Clark’s for the great customer service and for taking my hard earned money for nothing.

I only wore it because I don’t know how it is supposed to fit and I thought I would trust their recommendation, I was very wrong.

Manager lacks customer service and conflict resolution skills

I have always bought my kids schools shoes from this store. I needed a new pair of shoes for my daughter so I went to the store.
They did not have the size in stock so I ordered them and I was told that I would receive an email confirming when the shoes were ready for collection which I received. I went back to the store to collect them. I waited by the counter and a member of staff approached me to help. I showed her the email on my phone including my name and order number. She went to the back of the store and came back saying that she could not find them. Another member of the team approached her and send her to serve someone else and refered me to a third member of the team who said that I needed to wait as she had 3 customers waiting. I asked why would need to wait for 3 customers to be seen if I was already been served and also my parking was about to expire. I had to leave the store. I then went to my car and called the store to confirm if the shoes had arrived or not before going back. A person took the call and asked me for my name and the order number which I gave her. Then after around a minute after the lady asked for the same information again which I gave her then, her tone changed and asked me about the "shoe name" which luckily was included in the email. All of the sudden I heard a different voice on the call. In a very loud tone said that I needed to be patient and I needed to give them the order number otherwise they could not find the order. I asked if I could please speak with the manager. This person said that she was indeed the manager (Kayleigh). I started explaining the whole situation again and asking for confirmation on my order. Then the manager put the phone down on me. At this point I was very annoyed I called again. No apology from her. No conflict resolution skills at all. This lady just wanted to pick up a fight. I felt that on top of the bad service (they couldn't not locate the order ), she was very rude and unprofessional.
I still have no shoes so will have to go back to that store to see what is happening or ask for a refund.

Hopefully this won't happen to you .... I had the worse customer service experience today in that shop.

Unprofessional and Dismissive Customer Service

On 2nd November, I purchased a pair of school shoes for my son. He wore them to school the following day, but by the end of the day, he was in significant pain from the right shoe. When I examined it, I noticed it had already creased after just one day of wear causing him pain and discomfort.

Concerned for my son’s comfort and wellbeing, I returned to the store that same day to discuss the issue and see what could be done. Unfortunately, the staff member who served me spoke to me with visible disdain, raising her voice and stating that she could not sell “used shoes.” She made no effort to listen to my explanation or to look at the shoe. As I left, she continued to discuss the situation with a colleague in a loud voice while looking at me, which made me feel embarrassed and disrespected.

I understand that shops have policies regarding worn items, but I also believe that reasonable discretion and basic courtesy should be exercised, particularly when a product causes pain after a single day’s use.

I would appreciate it if the staff will be reminded of the importance of treating customers with professionalism and respect.

Sahib has shown phenomenal and excellent customer service with helping me find the correct size and shoes for my perfect fit.

He is also excellent on tills and knows how to be friendly and supportive to customers and listens.

Kayleigh’s customer service skills are second to none. She always gives amazingly consistent customer service, no matter what and she sets the standard for others. Kayleigh is a real credit to Clark’s in Enfield!

Went in with my daughter today who was a bit weary on getting shoes for year 7 but i was greeted warmly by an amazing employee Elsie who was great and made the experience very cheerful ,my daughter and I loved the shoes and the service.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the service I received at Clarks Enfield! Amanda was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and really went out of her way to help me regarding stock levels online and what was actually in store. She had great advice and made the whole experience super enjoyable. I highly recommend this shop and Amanda's expertise!

Hayley, Enfield store: 5 star service

Thank you to Hayley in the Enfield store who was so helpful in suggesting a new pair of shoes for my son who wasn't even with me! I was hoping for a replacement pair of my son's current school shoes which have worn out. Clarks don't do that shoe any more but Hayley suggested another style and guided me on the best size. And they fit! Thank you very much Hayley! Five star service!
