I have just purchased 2pairs of trainers from your Bury st Edmunds store I will not be buying from you ever again… appalling customer service because the WiFi went down they could not correct their mistake of not processing the offer of £10 off of trainers the Manager Angela Dean sent us away with no proof that she would do the refund once the WiFi was back on but GAVE HER WORD that she would issue this as soon as she could my husband asked her do we need to be here for that and she said categorically no she could refund and issue a new receipt ! But no she emails to say I must go into the store - we are on our way to our holiday destination we will not be returning that way …. Dreadful customer service , she does not know Clark’s policy or procedures I have taken it up with customer service …. Why am I having to do this ? catalogue of errors I would avoid this store

Took my young grandson to get new shoes, he is 2 1/2 very anxious and upset about getting measured. We were served by Paige who was calm and friendly, very professional and patient. Paige took time to get the correct size and wasn't phased by the crying and stress at all.
She really made a trip we were dreading much easier than we anticipated.

I recently ordered two pairs of shoes online and returned them to the store, where the sales assistant advised bringing my daughter in to be correctly fitted. When we came back, a younger member of staff helped us. She was very shy and seemed inexperienced, so I explained that we've already gone through three pairs of Clarks shoes in the last nine months because the soles keep wearing down and they become too uncomfortable for my daughter to walk in.
She measured my daughter as a size 3, with her width being off the scale. She then suggested a boys’ size 6H to accommodate her width. At this point it became clear she was struggling, so I ended up fitting the shoes myself.
She brought out a pair where you could clearly see the sides of my daughter’s feet protruding over the sole. I also got the impression she was tired of going up and down the stairs and just wanted to get finished, as the effort disappeared very quickly.
This is not the level of service I expect from Clarks. If another shop offered wider leather shoes, I would happily spend my money there instead. Unfortunately, this experience has left me far from impressed and is the reason i started ordering online in the 1st place.
I’m certain there are countless people in Bury St Edmunds wearing poorly fitted shoes because this store offers an extremely limited range of wide fittings—and then excuses it by blaming whatever stock they’re sent. While I was in the store, four customers needed wider shoes, and the staff’s solution was simply to force a sale by telling them to go up a size. That is not just bad customer service; it’s irresponsible.
In over 40 years of buying shoes, you have never once been able to fit any of my four children from your shelves—and they only need a G width. This isn’t a rare or unusual size.
Bury St Edmunds, it’s time to get your act together. The situation is beyond embarrassing; it’s unacceptable.

Had perused the store weeks before my purchase, looking for a comfortable pair of shoes. 7 Years I've been wearing a pair that were falling apart. Fingers crossed the ones I liked & tried were still there in the Sale on payday. With Holly's Help We chose the perfect ones And I Also bought the Black 🖤 Boots that I'd searched 13 years for !
That was £160 in total.
My appreciation is for Honest opinion in helping my indecisive Dilemma between 2 styles.
I Love my everyday shoes So Much! Comfort was the Priority so I went to "Clarks".
I'm writing this finally 4 months later because I Do Hope that Holly gets rewarded for her brilliant Customer Service.
A Christmas bonus in her Check is my recommendation

Alex was a very helpful young lad my daughter has Down Syndrome and got very upset crying and shouting. Alex was very calm and patient with us. he brought lots of options out for her to try and talked us through the after care to.

Angela at the Bury St Edmund’s store was brilliant.
It was quite busy in store and my son who is non verbal autistic, has a hard time waiting.
Angela took us to the front of the queue, to a quiet part of the store and was very patient while measuring my sons feet (he doesn’t make it easy)

I have submitted several feedbacks regarding my very poor treatment at the hands of Clarks, but no one bothered to answer. I tried your Customer Services phone number, and your Customer Care email, but again, no response. As far as I am concerned, you don't really care about customer services. I never got the shoes I paid for, and was compelled to demand a refund.

Wonderfully comfortable shoes
This was the second pair of shoes in this style I've purchased. They are very well made and are extremely comfortable and well worth the money. I like that they come in different colours. They are the quality I expect from Clarks and I'm glad to see they haven't dropped their standards.
