Ryan has been very helpful in working with our locks and making duplicate keys. Our listed building is over 250 years old and many of the doors and locks are quite old and difficult to work with.

I called Ryan on Thursday with a request for him to come on Friday morning to carry out a job for me. Understanding that my request was very last minute, I didn't expect Ryan to be able to get here.

Day or night, lost keys or need new locks, you only need one number. City of London Locksmiths is reliable, friendly, fast and fairly priced for all key and lock services. I've used the company for my main residential and investment properties for over 6 years. No need to shop around, it's the best in town.

We have used Ryan on a couple of occasions. He has been prompt in dealing with an emergency and very thorough in sourcing a replacement for an old lock.

We did not use this company as locksmiths, but this was because of their straighforward and honest advice. We wanted to bolster our front door locks and called City of London Locksmiths - they were very helpful and suggested we send pictures of the door so they can provide an estimate etc.

This is instead of them charging us for a call-out and then finding that they need particular parts etc - so already saving us money.

Having reviewed the photos they advised that the door is actually secure due to elements of the frame and a special bar (which we did not realise was there for strength of frame). They said they could come and add something, but it would not make a fundamental difference so advised it was not necessary.

I am posting this because while I cannot comment on the services, I can state they gave an honest appraisal, saved us money where possible and did not try to sell us something we did not need just to line their pockets.

Honesty like that is sadly rare so if we need anything done in the future we will go straight back without hesitation.

There was an emergency in an office in the City as a door locked with the keys inside. City of London Locksmiths came very quickly and solved the problem without any damage to the door or the need to replace the lock - they knew the tricks to sort out the door and also suggested it be made less likely to slam shut in the future by adjusting a hinge. We were very happy.
