I love everything about it starting from the fact of you can log your food in with ease to the fact that you can take pictures and it remember your past foods.

I've tried every calorie tracking app out there and always gave up within a week — the manual logging, the endless barcode scanning, the constant searching through databases. Chowdown completely changes that experience.
Just snap a photo of your meal and within seconds you get a full breakdown of calories, protein, carbs, fats, and fibre. It's genuinely impressive how accurate it is, and on the rare occasion it gets something slightly off, you can easily correct it — which I really appreciate.
What surprised me most is that this is completely free. No sneaky premium tier, no ads, no paywalls. It's a breath of fresh air in a space full of apps that lock basic features behind subscriptions. The AI nutrition coach (Robin) is a nice touch too — actually useful for getting meal ideas that fit your goals.
If you've ever tried and failed to stick with macro tracking, give Chowdown a go. It's the first app that's made consistent tracking feel effortless.

He estado utilizando la app desde el principio para tener una idea de lo que comía y ver si me pasaba, o no, de unos valores de proteínas y grasas. La verdad es que el proceso es bastante fácil, cuando no puedes usar la cámara porque no tienes el móvil a mano, puedes dictarle lo que has comido y te clava los ingrediente, y si no, le das un par de sugerencias y listo.
Otro tema interesante es la rapidez con la que se solucionan problemas o se añaden mejores. Se agradece la atención ciertamente.

I’ve been using Chowdown to track my macros and, overall, I’m really enjoying it. I find the Quick Add feature especially useful, as there are things I have every day and I can log them in seconds without having to search for or re-enter them each time.

I also really appreciate that when you upload a photo, you can correct any foods or quantities the AI doesn’t get quite right. That flexibility makes the tracking feel much more realistic and user-friendly.

As a small area for improvement, I think the AI detection of some vegetarian foods (tofu, seitan, tempeh, etc.) could be refined a bit further. In my experience, it doesn’t always identify them accurately and I need to adjust them manually. It’s not a major issue since it’s easy to correct, but improving this would definitely be a nice bonus.

That said, for day-to-day macro tracking, I think it’s a very useful tool — especially considering it’s free.
