The courses offered are very well designed and address players of different levels. Requests have always been answered on time and the content is constantly growing. I also like the events although I rarely find the time to participate.

Both for beginners and masters, ChessMood is the only school ever needed.

Please note I don’t use the word “course” as ChessMood is far beyond a course; it really is an active school.
I’ve tried many courses and education programmes, and none of them can ever be compared to ChessMood:

(1) The contents are very rich and full,
(2) More importantly, the contents and lesson sequences are very efficiently designed to ensure step-by-step chess evolution. These guys know how to teach and develop students - perhaps the most crucial element!

(3) ChessMood offers a certain style and approach to play chess, hence the term “school”,
(4) The style taught by ChessMood is not only very enjoyable, but also does really increase one’s chess ability and knowledge,
(5) Finally, ChessMood has an active community which comes together and under the live guidance of grandmasters, games are played and reviewed, further concretizing the style taught in lessons.

I’m telling you, you’ve never seen anything like ChessMood in the endless world of chess education..

I joined ChessMood in August 2023 when my rating was 1500, and I’ve since climbed to 1850. The biggest difference between ChessMood and other platforms is the quality and longevity of their content.
​Unlike many creators who rush out a new opening course every week, ChessMood puts significant effort into every release. They focus on concepts that actually stick. "Silent Strategy" is a personal favorite because it provides foundational knowledge that lasts forever, rather than just a "trick" opening that loses its value quickly.
​Beyond the courses, the community is incredibly friendly and helpful. I actually met another student through the platform who eventually became my coach. His guidance has helped my progress immensely, and it’s a testament to the high caliber of players this platform attracts. If you want a disciplined, high-quality approach to chess and a supportive environment, I can’t recommend them enough.

ChessMood is a unique chess learning resource covering all areas of the game with grandmaster video instruction. In particular, they have a suggested (aggressive) repertoire which is backed up by interactive sessions twice a week based on their grandmasters playing the openings. I don’t know anywhere else you can find such instruction.
My particular favorites are the Tactics Ninja and Mating Matador courses which teach and test all the tactical and mating patterns.
More is to come as they invest in AI based methods to improve the learning experience.
I would recommend anyone gives it a try; if not convinces take advantage of the next trial period when they open up all their courses for a short period of time.

This is a world-class resource created by Grandmasters. It is likely the most effective way to learn chess, whether you're just starting out or pushing past a 2,000 rating. The curriculum is brilliantly structured, covering everything from openings and tactics to deep endgame analysis and classical master games. A tremendous value for any serious student of the game!

ChessMood is the best chess learning platform on the market. You get everything you need from beginner until advanced player - courses on openings, tactics, strategy, endgames, and mus more... all prepared by grandmasters who really know what they do and how to teach chess.
I would recommend it to everyone who wants to bring his or her chess to the next level.

If you are serious about your chess then this is a one stop shop. I have been a customer for two years and I feel no need to go anywhere else. The vibe is friendly, practical and supportive. Chessmood is very well made chess teaching service. I especially like how they made it very easy to study chess openings, with many opening puzzles to remind how to play in all the different situations. Their selection of chess puzzles used is top quality, really makes you think and develop your tactical skills. Great teachers and personal.

Chessmood combines world class education with a family business feel. The courses are extremely well designed and effective, and after finding Chessmood, the only limits to my progress were the amount of time I had to invest. The articles and seminars are fun and practical, and I always love reading Avo's pieces. I highly recommend this site for anyone serious about learning and improving their game.

Chessmood is the program I wish had existed when I started playing the game 65 years ago. The beginner's material explains how the pieces move simply and clearly. The remaining material explains the most important tactical motifs and strategies in an easy to understand fashion. Every course includes exercises that help the student apply the ideas in their games. Anyone who works seriously through the material in the order presented will have all the knowledge needed to become a strong tournament player.

Chessmood is a very good website to learn Chess openings, tatics and strategy. The GMs and their explanations are great and playfull!

Has some of the best chess instructional videos. Videos cover almost all aspects of chess from attitude to tactics and game planning.

ChessMood has been the main source of chess education for me for about five years now. It helped me to both learn the fundamentals the proper way (many of which I was missing, even as a ~2000 FIDE-rated player) and cover more advanced topics that I was looking for. What makes ChessMood stand out for me is that the team actually cares that their students improve, in chess and in life, and so the quality of courses is very high. As a Lifetime member, it's been one of the most important investments I made in chess and I am looking forward to continuing my chess journey with ChessMood.

For all topics the explanations are comprehensive and very clear.
The courses for opening are much better than the usual openings books as the depth and clarity of the explanation is greater.
Moreover it's easy (my opinion) to understand a complex topic when it's orally explained than when reading it.
For the middlegames, endgames and chess psychology when playing a game the courses cover all you need to know to play competitive chess.

I've been a member for over a year. I am a committed "life long learner" and while I am in my 70's and realize it is "too late" for me to become a GM, I know I can improve my chess as long as I keep at it. Chessmood instructors are personable, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Can't go wrong with them on your side. PS Lily is very responsive to email inquiries. I hope this doesn't add to her workload. (Grin!)

• In 2024, I won the World Amateur Championship.
• In 2025, I won the European Amateur Championship.

ChessMood has first class courses and content, and their customer service is very responsive. Highly recommended for serious chess students. Their student community is very active and ChessMood hosts regular interactive events.

Besides the excellent quality of resources, sheer depth of content and amazing amount of learning material they also interact with us, the player.
