Professional company to deal with.
Recently bought a sovereign from Chards and I live local to them, opted for pickup, so made an appointment, went to thier office/shop on the arranged date and time, and found the building to be very secure, clean and modern. I was greeted by Derek who was very polite and seemed very professional, gave my 2 forms of ID and a couple of minutes later received my sovereign, got a warm Thank you and left a happy chappie.

NO PLASTIC CAPSULE!..
The ordering, delivery & being kept updated were all very efficient...
However, I was disappointed that my Britannia gold coin did not arrive in a plastic capsule that costs an extremely minimal amount when spending over £3k...
Instead, it arrived in a very small self-seal plastic bag with a tacky boiled sweet...
Other companies that I have purchased Britannia coins from like The Royal Mint & gold.co.uk, have always sent their coins in a plastic capsule...
I ended up having to go online & purchase some capsules for a miserly amount of money to keep the coin in a pristine condition...
A small problem but nonetheless, a very annoying one...

On the capsule point, we tend to leave packaging choices optional rather than building the cost into the price of the product or coin, so customers only pay for what they actually want included.
We understand that may not suit everyone, but it helps us keep pricing clear and transparent.
There is also an option at checkout to add a capsule if required, as we know some customers prefer that extra protection.

Very satisfied
The place was easy to find and parking was available at the premises.
I had booked an appointment, straight in and was seen straight away.
It took a few minutes to value my jewellery and a sovereign, the price was better than local jewellers and about the same as bullion dealer who deal by post. It was nice to get top money but still ho in person. I was told money would be in my bank in 2 to 3 days but it arrived the following day.
