I feel it’s important to share a deeply disappointing experience with Clegg Gifford & Co. After seven years as a loyal customer, I was thrilled to purchase a new vehicle, but what should have been a joyful milestone has turned into a stressful ordeal. The person who helped me secure my policy at the end of the previous six years went above and beyond—working tirelessly on the phone to get my policy in place, and I was so appreciative. However, when I recently tried to make a simple amendment—adding this new vehicle—I was passed between William and Gavin in customer service. Both of them have been unhelpful and dismissive. Suddenly, after years of flawless service and a perfect no-claims business record, they’ve presented me with an exorbitant £3,000-plus quote just to add one vehicle. It’s been like pulling teeth to get any resolution. What should have been a simple amendment has now turned into a drawn-out argument, leaving me completely disillusioned. I sincerely hope they address this issue, but at this point, I strongly advise others to proceed with caution and reconsider working with Clegg Gifford & Co. I expect better, and I deserve a proper resolution.

Quoted for Cat A instead of Cat C risk. Quote 5 times higher than it should have been. Not great for 'trust' 💩

Had a very bad experience - I had a motor trade policy - I was emailing them for 2 months sending all the documents they asked for then when I know they actually received the documents they told me on the day we havnt received them and cancelled the policy, no help - I had proof they received them they said there's nothing we can do now even though I was doing everything they asked and it's there employees fault because they told me they have received them they clearly didn't send them on

Got a query and some adjustments to my policy. Serena sorted everything within 5 minutes. Can't expect anything better than that.

No communication from the complaints email address.
Complaint sent 1st April, no response or even any acknowledgement.
When suggested that I contact the complaints department again, in response to my review 2 days ago, I sent an email that day also including the original email I sent 28 days ago.
Still no response or even any acknowledgement.
Had been with these guys for 2 years, my third year came up for renewal and got a verbal agreement of just over £3000, I rang back a few days later and I was told it could not be honoured and it had risen to £3600.
At the time of the call my insurance renewed within the next 48 hours.
Any changes I needed to make (adding drivers or vehicles above the threshold) was met with we need to send it off to the under writers and taking sometimes up to two weeks to get back to me with excessive additional premuims needed if i went through with the insurance.
My renewal came through for this year and they have slid it up to £4200.
Wouldn't recommend. Staff on the phone decent and try to be helpful, the company it's self not helpful.

Avoid along with Dna brokers worse in industry
Very intrusive emails about my business after 8 years with Dna .. breaching daya protection legslation ..Fca and insurance obudsmen worse trade insurance in uk
Staff never answer and Work from when they do.seeking alternative..any serious motor trader best look to alliance . Etc
Stay clear you will.regret

Time for renewal and politely reminded in plenty of time with all the options and costs, calls handled well with helpful people who understand the products they are selling and advising on. Very happy with all aspects which is why i am a returning customer over the last 15+ years

We agree to a price despite been it extortionate in the first place and then when it comes to pay you add an additional £300 for no reason or maybe your Xmas party
