The CCPT Level 2 Counselling course has been one of the most rewarding learning experiences I’ve ever had. The course is organised into four modules that follow a logical progression, making the learning journey engaging and easy to follow. I appreciated being able to study entirely at my own pace, with a dedicated tutor, on-line drop in sessions and an online community of fellow students to connect with or seek support if needed.
The course covered various theories underpinning counselling work, alongside essential skills such as active listening, empathy, and setting boundaries (with a recorded role-play activity to put these techniques into practice). Theory was always combined with relevant examples, giving an opportunity to analyse and practise what was taught.
Finally, the course encouraged self-reflection as part of the learning. Normally, I feel very self-conscious about writing anything personal, but the reflective activities were designed as a natural extension of the theory in each lesson. As a result, I learned just as much about myself as I did about counselling.
This course works equally well for complete beginners and for those already using counselling skills in their role. Personally, even before completing it, I felt more confident in my abilities and better able to apply the skills at work. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough — it’s well-organised, offers valuable insights and fresh perspectives, and provides a strong foundation for progressing to Level 3 training.

I would accept the apology from CCPT for the monumental technical error which forced me off the course.Absolutely no recognition of culpability either, so shocking. I have never received an apology! Although, I only received less than half my money back. What really should have happened is me getting a full unconditional refund. My inbox was completely defunct, which meant I received no messages from peers to continue my studies with peer reviews. I'm able to forgive this company as an act of pure goodwill though. Even though they refunded me less than half my course fee☺️! So good luck future students in my opinion this course provider flies in the face of compassion, empathy and understanding. In fact, everything it's supposed to stand for. I hope you are more fortunate than I have been. In my opinion, this company puts profits above student welfare, if thire is a technical glitch, the students are supposed to fix it. I would advise anyone NOT to enrol with this unscrupulous provider!
