Have used Barry for 2 years now - after using a few services can easily say he is the best to go to.

We have used CathBarr Chauffeur Service twice from the port in Glasgow. Both were private tours with Barry. The experience & service was outstanding on both occasions. As a matter of fact, I would go as far as to say these have been our very best excursions out of many - both ship excursions & independent providers. There is no comparison between going on a big bus with so many other travelers & going on a tour like this. The cost is much more reasonable than might be expected & the value exceeds the few dollars extra you might spend. Our guide communicated with us well in advance & arrived to meet us just as promised. He was dressed as a true gentleman and his courtesy was kind and professional. The car was very clean & comfortable & he had all of the items one might need to enhance comfort including water, candy, and other snacks. He also had umbrellas & a cane if these things were needed. He pulled the car around, opened the car doors & extended a hand to help us get out as needed at every stop. We were able to customize our tour to be just as we wanted. With his assistance, we were able to adjust our schedule with regard to weather & traffic conditions on the spot. He was so good at this, we jokingly called him “the man with a plan”. His commentary was so informative & entertaining. It was a nice mix of stories and facts. His driving was safe and it was obvious he had planned ahead. Some of the sites we saw on this trip were Stirling Castle, the Kelpies, and the Falkirk Wheel. We also were able to stop at Tesco to buy some local toffees which he introduced us to (our idea)! On our prior trip last year, a small country church in the town of Luss and the Inveraray Country estate & gardens were standouts. We also saw Loch Lamond. On both trips, we stopped mid-day for a little lunch at cute local cafes. Perfect!!!
