Humiliating and Unacceptable Experience, Never Again
On July 24th, we purchased online 4 adult tickets, 2 reduced tickets, and a Black Corsair gazebo for Ferragosto, spending €300 in total. Upon arrival, we informed the ticket office that we were only 3 adults and 2 children (one already counted as an “adult” due to height), as the fourth adult couldn’t attend. We politely asked if one of the adult tickets could be used for the second child to avoid wasting it, but the lady at the counter, whom we later discovered was the manager, refused in an arrogant manner and processed all tickets without offering any solution.
We even offered to give the extra adult ticket to someone in line, but were abruptly told it was not allowed to sell or give away tickets. Shortly after, security approached us, asked for our tickets and wristbands, refunded our money, and escorted us out without a clear explanation.
Talking to other staff members, it was enough to say “the lady at the ticket office” for everyone to know exactly who we meant, suggesting this may not have been the first time. Reading other reviews, we found that similar incidents happen often, even to people who travel for hours to get there.
Being a private business may give the right to choose who to let in, but it never justifies unprofessional or disrespectful behavior. A Ferragosto we will remember, unfortunately, for the wrong reasons.
