Highly Recommend: Top-Notch Moving Team

We just completed our move with Cargo Cabbie and were very impressed with the efficiency, professionalism and execution of our move. The pre pack day was a must, and all of our items were protected and packaged with care. Our move day was executed flawlessly, and John, our move day lead, was amazing. The crew were courteous, efficient and patient. We could not be more happy with how our move went, and would highly recommend Cargo Cabbie.

Be careful

I’ve used CARGO CABBIE once or twice in moves. I’ve made across the city. Last week I called CARGO CABBIE and asked them for a quote. Everybody was nice enough. CARGO CABBIE turned up spent two hours moving furniture, wrapping furniture at some point they cleared an old modular sofa that I have that my dogs effectively use as a dog bed and saw four or five moths. I’m not sure if they were dead or alive but upon seeing these moths CARGO CABBIE stopped their move and about 20 minutes after they stopped I got a call from the office to tell me that the move was ending because there was an insect infestation in my home, they said that they had taken video. I asked them to send me the video so that I could confirm or send it to a professional for an opinion about whether there was an infestation in my home. They refused to do so. They then suggested that they were not going to give me a refund because I should have known that there was an infestation in my home , I explained to them that there is no infestation that I’m getting rid of the couch. In fact, I had asked them for a quote to junk the couch and they said to me ‘you asked us for a quote to junk the couch because it was clearly infested, again I asked them to send me the video they took, and they refused to do so , the kicker is where they say to me that they are not going to give me a refund as I should have known about the infestation. I began threatening them with going on every social media platform I could think of to explain my experience. They then called me back 15 minutes later and said that they would put the boxes back and they would give me a refund, which they promptly proceeded to do. I was going to leave this at that, I got my refund, I was annoyed and frustrated but there was nothing I could do. But I was looking out my back window and I saw that they employee who had made the determination was hurriedly walking away after having left some of my things in the back garden. When I went to look a few of my belongings had been left in my back garden with the gate left open. And inside, where did they put the majority of the boxes that they had moved into truck? They did so exactly where they determined there had been an infestation. In the very same room. I am absolutely beside myself. Mostly because based on the opinion of a mover about what an infestation looks like they could upend my life and my move. They got here at close to 3 o’clock so I could do nothing about the position they put me in. Especially because they had spent two hours walking through the same space wrapping furniture and moving boxes, not once coming across the infestation, the equivalent of five or six moths, two of them alive the rest dead. if a mover can make a decision based on eyeing an area of a junked sofa and suggest that there is an insect infestation and then abruptly stop the move then I would caution everybody not to make your plans around CARGO CABBIE because for any reason at any point they could make the decision that in fact, they’re not going to undertake the move, and be careful because they might also not give you a refund based on what the opinion of someone who moves furniture thinks about whether or not the insect (s) that they see is an infestation or not. Again they had spent two hours moving furniture in the very same home, in two rooms immediately adjacent to the area where they saw moths. I will never ever use them again and I would suggest anybody that considers them as an option think about what the movers might come across and the determination they might make as a result. Because if one of their movers makes a determination that there are more insects in the same place than there should be they have the power to stop An office manager will call you to tell you based on the video evidence, that you don’t have access to and they won’t share, they are cancelling your move. By the way I also offered to get an exterminator in immediately to get a professional opinion. They refused this too. They have decent enough reviews, I used them and went to them for that reason, but they also have reviews from people highly inconvenienced by this kind of decision making. It’s incredibly arbitrary. If you depend on your moving plans and expect reasonableness in responses to what comes up, I would argue go elsewhere. Lastly, the part about no refunds. If they see insects, and they determine that there is a bug infestation (they saw moths in a thick wool couch) they will tell you that you should have known and that you aren’t getting your money back, no questions asked. They can stop the move, at anytime and not refund your money. This is a lesson in reading the fine print. Hopefully, in response to this review they might post the video that they wouldn’t share with me, so we can all determine whether they had a right to do what they did.

Regarding the situation you described, it's important to clarify that our decision to stop the move was made due to unsanitary conditions caused by a substantial number of insects crawling on top of your furniture, and throughout the home. It was not only evident to our team, but also to us at the office, that these conditions posed were unfit for our employees on site. Not to mention, by moving infested contents increases the risk of contamination of our vehicles and equipment, and other clients belongings.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that we found it concerning that you were aware of the issue in your home, as evidenced by your request for disposal of all the furniture. This suggests that the presence of insects was not a surprise to you, yet we were not made aware of it prior to the move. As per our terms, CARGO CABBIE reserves the right to refuse services, should a client not disclose key information. Please see below:

HEALTH & SAFETY
The client is responsible for any parasitic insects (bed bugs, cockroaches etc) encountered within the premises of the origin, destination and/or additional locations. The client will be responsible for reimbursing Cargo Cabbie for costs incurred due to cleaning, sanitizing and delousing vehicles and/or replacing affected equipment.

Cargo Cabbie Inc. reserves the right to cancel a move if the conditions of any of the locations are unhygienic and/or the crew encounters any parasitic insects.

Being sympathetic and understanding of the situation, we refunded (a non-refundable) deposit on the spot. We also instructed the crew to return all of your possessions from the truck, back into your home. Despite your neglect to advise of the issue, we are not charging you the fee for disinfection of our vehicle.

We take these circumstances extremely seriously. We hope you understand how crucial transparency is, as we as a company pride ourselves on honest work.

Cargo Cabbie provided me with outstanding service. They were extremely responsive and helpful both via online chat and phone. Next day delivery for all my moving boxes and supplies - all quality product, and they worked around my schedule. Delivery person was very professional and friendly. Packed, moved and stored my home

I hired Cargo Cabbie based on the positive reviews across the internet. After several moves and bad past experiences, I decided to hire a mover with good reputation and no history of complaints or one star reviews. My experience was exactly what I was looking for and even more. The movers were all great. Easy to communicate, worked as a team the entire move. The packers were also great. The storage service made for a perfect combo. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The care and respect for my home is priceless. These guys delivered outstanding services. Great company and great service

Great company and great service. Communication was excellent and their site was easy to navigate. Booking was straightforward and the crew was professional and courteous. They even went above and beyond what I was expecting. It was not an easy move, but they handled it easily. Would definitely use them again.

Sharing my feedback is a pleasure.
I needed help, and as you all may know, packing your home for moving isn't always a fun thing to do, especially if you are on your own; And this is why, this time around I decided to call in professionals to assist. The crew sent by the office was superior. On time, friendly and careful with my home, my cat and stuff. The ladies and gentleman came in and within approximate eight hours they had my home of 20 years packed and ready to go. Over all, considerimg my circunstances, i wouldnt call anyone else. I really enjoyed working with Cargo…

I really enjoyed working with Cargo Cabbie, not once or twice, but several times and helped me with different services.. The movers are all friendly, polite and they hustled to make the elevator at my new condo, ah yes, my new condo. The pressure was on and these guys went above and beyond to ensure I was ok and happy throughout the move. I will be calling on you again, once my new home is ready after the reno, I am always happy with you guys.
