California Pet Pharmacy has been a life saver for me and my dogs.
I've tried several different online pet pharmacies in the past, but each one offered as many problems as they solved. Some had poor customer service, some kept raising prices, some were unreliable to get medications sent in a timely manner.. just a sample of the issues I experienced.
I've been with CPP for years now and have never once had any sort of problem with their customer service or their prices or the speed that they get orders filled and sent out. The team at CPP are dedicated to providing the very best service possible and they are also incredibly thoughtful. They have always gone above and beyond basic good service. I would say they offer the Gold Standard of customer service and their prices are as low as it gets.
I will be a loyal CPP customer for as long as we both exist.

Beware of old medications with short expiration dates!!

If searching for a prescription for an immediate acute condition, California Pet Pharmacy may be an option, but if searching for maintenance medication for a chronic, long-term condition, you might need to look elsewhere.

The prescription I received was set to expire in just over a month. I have used this maintenance medication for over 25 years and it has always come with an expiration date of a year or better.

The company offered either a 50% discount or a replacement with a longer (but still relatively inadequate) expiration date. I chose the replacement as I will be able to get, at least, some use out of it before it expires, but I will be looking for a new Rx provider for the future.

This place used to be good and I would order things for my animal rescue. Now, unfortunately they are an EPIC FAIL of a company with no excuse for their dysfunctions!! This is the only place that harasses you DAILY, repeatedly saying your vet never got the script and to call my vet. What? Like me or my vet have time for California Pet Pharmacy issues? MY VET ALWAYS APPROVES scripts promptly from any other supplier. CALIFORNIA PHARMACY deserves to go out of business for letting their company go to pot. I will be using all the remaining competitive companies that are out there to use and will forget this place ever existed! Getting animal medications on time is a serious issue!

CalPetRX appears to have instituted online theft into their product ordering process. I ordered some pet meds for a cost of $22.50. Early the next day, I discovered that I had stashed previously ordered meds (not from this vendor) at home in a place that was forgettable. So once I realized that I already owned these meds, that some day, I emailed CalPetRX and asked that they CANCEL my order because I no longer needed their meds. After a couple days, they informed me I would be CHARGED $10 anyway for not mailing in my vet prescription. I informed them, again, that I had discovered my lost meds at home, and as a result, I didn't need them to fill the order. Hence, there was no need for a vet prescription. They charged my card for $10 anyway that same week.

IMO, this is equivalent to online theft. I strongly suggest others avoid this company as it appears they are institutionally corrupted and intent upon dishonestly charging customers for products never purchased.
